It'll have King Racing Shocks, Beard Super TZ full containment seats, ITP Beadlock wheels with ITP BajaCross 8 ply tires, Fabworx racing cage minus the door bar, 1/4 doors by Fabworx, redesigned spare tire carrier, oh and the seats are lowered 4 inches. And lots of frame bracing too. 13 inches ground clearance with 13 inches wheel travel.
More pics tomorrow..

Got my second truck in with 2010 Arctic Cats today. First truck had the 2010 TRV's and this one had my Prowlers. Sweet, they've switched the parking brake to the XTZ style now.
Tires are Duro Brand, looks good, just have to see how they hold up. The 550XTs have the old style aluminum rims (ala 2007, 2008).
First 2010 XTX is already sold....
Now if we can just get our XTZs here...
Those are some good looking speakers. I like the iPod volume interface. If I install a stereo in my Prowler, most likely it'll be just an iPod setup with amp and speakers... I'll keep your system in mind if anyone wants to buy a stereo with a new Prowler (AC dealer here).
A couple of my buddies and I decided the best way to start off the new year was with a trail ride. We are located in NW New Mexico and surrounded with high desert plateau. Temps were in the 40's and clear sky...perfect day.
We headed out with one of my Prowlers (XTX 700-Stocker, left the modded one at home so I could compare the AC and the RZR). The ground varied from deep clay mud to frozen snow to sand and sandstone.
We did note that the for this type of area, the Prowler handled great, much better than the RZR. We found that the RZR pushed through corners with lots of understeer, had too little of ground clearance with 2 riders and had no power advantage over the XTX. In fact, the XTX outran the RZR in a 4 mile race down a sandwash (filled with switchbacks and drop offs). The RZR wanted to swap ends everytime they got above 40mph and bottomed out coming off the drop offs while the XTX ran smooth and felt stable the entire time... I can see why the Prowlers did so well at the recent BAJA 1000.
Here are some pics...

Talk about little ground clearance:

Okay, guess I'll post pics of my latest toy. 2009 XTX with Seizmik cab (doors zip off), rear down tubes, rear Beard Seat with 4pt Crow harnesses (not in the pics yet), Beard front suspension seats, ITP 212 wheels with ITP XD Terra Cross tires (new gens) and a Seizmik hood rack.

Can they do it with a 50" model?
It would be fast but now your messing with a Ranger size too. I want my Rhino to have a big bore kit that would put it over a 1000 cc, that would kick butt! Where's the doors, or the lawsuits?
Why do it with a 50" model. Most people that hop up RZRs and Rhinos add wheel spacers or change the suspension to make it wider. That way they are more stable, ala, Prowler. I've ridden many trails on my Prowler and the biggest problem is the rollcage interfering with tree limbs. The body of my Prowler is only 8 inches wider than most large bore ATVs (AC lists it at 60 inches, but I've measured mine at the fenders at 57 inches). That is just fine for most trails.
Rzr'z and Rhino's have a much higher chance of rollover than the Prowler, hence no need for doors and lawsuits.
The local Polaris and Yamaha dealer is a buddy of mine and he says that every one of the Rzr's he's sold have been rolled, the first two he sold were rolled in his parking lot. The Rhinos are better, but still more apt to roll.
I love the width of my Prowler just fine. And I ride in National Forests, on Jeep 4X4 Trails and high desert plateau (ie: Moab and northern Arizona).
I drove the XTZ 1000 and am quite impressed, it is very fast, can hang the tail out with throttle application at any time. It handles much better than the previous models and has several updated features such as a handbrake, improved air intake positioning to quiet the machine down, gas shocks and lowered center of gravity.
Warning, don't test drive one if you don't want to buy one.

So what is it then BMP?????
Black Magic Powersports, but as of a few days ago, they are closing. Speedwerx is making quite a few go-fast goodies for AC now. I can vouch for Hunterworks being a good company to deal with. Todd, the owner is very much a UTV sport enthusiast and works to take care of his customers.
I am looking for a light weight slip on muffler. More performace is good but I don't want one that is supper loud. Any ideas?
Check with Speedwerx. Black Magic is going out of business, but Speedwerx seems to be picking up where they left off pretty good. HMF is another possibility.
Check out the Baja Accessories for the Prowler too, rear Cage Bars, Tire Mount, new Bumpers front and rear...
Here's a download catalog of the 2009 goodies..

AC lowered the XTZ 2 inches to give it around 10 inches ground clearance. The seating within the frame is still the same location, with the overall machine sitting lower. The handling of the XTZ was much better than on previous machines. They've completely redesigned the frame and suspension. There are 22 fitments (pieces) on the Prowler main frame and none of them will interchange with the 08 XTXs. The new design on the 1000 incorporates gas shocks.
Now for the stiff part, MSRP is $13,999 for the XTZ 1000. It sounds a bit steep, but when you consider this machine will whoop everything out there that other manufacturers have, as well as many of the super hopped up machines, the price tag isn't too terrible. In fact, when the machines hit dealer floors in December, most will already have been sold or will be within a few days.
AC also has a lot of new accessories out such as Baja Kits for the Prowler lineup. It's going to be pretty interesting watching the evolution of UTVs over the next few years.
Yes, AC is stepping it up, bigger motors, better chassis, gas shocks etc. Yes, the axles across the entire AC line up have been beefed up quite a bit. I ran the XTZ hard, double jumped it, powerslides around corners, hit a rock pile at high speed to see the shocks jump into action..all to find that this is by far the best UTV on the market. It'll outrun the Rzr by quite a bit, it'll out jump the Rhinos and out pull the Ranger...This machine is awesome.
