Re: Getting ready for some Modifications

Marie and I have pulled the plug and we are doing some major modifications to our new Rzr. We are going with the Rzr to RzrS Conversion kit. It will also get new wheels and tires, street legal kit, leg minders and the quiet glide skid plate put on underneath. I have not made my mind up regarding keeping stock shocks or putting after market on. If anyone has any experience with that, I would appreciate your input. If you have a brand name and model to share that would be great too.

After making the decision and talking to my business partner, he has decided to do the same things to his Rzr also.

We have opted to have all the stuff supplied and installed by Jared Livingston at Ruthless Motor Sports. He has treated us very well and we are real happy to do some business with him. I priced everything with my local dealer and Jared was significantly cheaper and much more willing to help. I would suggest he is really trying hard to build his business.

I will be driving to Mt Pleasant this week to take the units to him. Tonight I spent a couple of hours stuffing two 8'6" Rzrs into a 16 foot trailer. Jared if you are reading this, don't be too impatient when I have to jack one up and put wheels and tires back on just to get it out of the trailer!

I hope to get some pictures posted of the conversion as we go. Looking forward to MOAB!

I think you are going to be very happy with the outcome of the rzr after the work. They are like little spiders in Moab  lol I think I would have to go with after market shocks, I have heard nothing but good about walker evans shocks....

X2 for the Walker Evans shocks. I have heard all great things about them.
Jared is also going to help me with a RZR to RZR S conversion.
I look forward to seeing some pictures of your rides.

I cant wait to see how you fit 2 RZRS in your 16' trailer!

It has been our pleasure to work with you on getting these 2 RZRS setup just how you want them. We would also be happy to post up some before and after pictures of the projects and some along the way too.

It will be nice to meet you tomorrow. Be safe on the drive down.  big_smile

Re: Getting ready for some Modifications

I had a great down and back trip to Mt. Pleasant Utah today. It is the first time in my 60 years that I had been to that little town and I can see why they call it Mt. Pleasant!

It was great to meet you Jared and finally get a face with the name. After spending a few hours with him, I can see why so many people on this forum like him.

I do have to tell you all it was a costly trip. I looked over some additional things to do to the wheeler and Jared was all too pleased to keep making the list longer!! If all goes well, we will go back down on 3-25 and probably head of to Moab for a couple of days. I can hardly wait to see how much better it runs out,

By all means Jared, keep the photos coming, wheeler "porn" has got to be as good as Jet Boat "porn" so post away!!!

It was great to meet you as well today. Its also nice to meet someone that knows, as the old saying goes, how to fit 55 gallons of S*%# in a 5 gallon bucket.  big_smile   big_smile

...and yeah we added some things to the list but think how much money you saved!  big_smile

Thank You for your business and we look forward to these two buildups.

Re: Getting ready for some Modifications

Just got back last night from Moab. We picked the RZR's up on Thursday afternoon and arrived in Moab about 4:00 pm. We rode 30 miles that day out near Tusher Tunnel, Wipe Out Hill and Bartlett Wash. I was amazed at how the suspension was improved and gave such a good ride.

Friday we did Poison Spider, Golden Spike, Rusty Nail and Gold Bar Rim - Real big day that was very cold, snowy and rainy. Due to the wet trails, slick and ice we had to get the winch out for part of Rusty Nail trail. It was on the ledge where there is not much trail and a huge incline up a boulder. I'm sure if I was not such a puss the machine could have driven it, but the exposure was pretty big and I didn't want to leave the wheeler there!

Saturday we drove out to Hey Joe Canyon, then cross the desert to Dellenbach Tunnel, through the wash to Secret Spire, back to Bartlett Wash, down to Merrimac Butte and back around to the truck at Dubinkey Wells and 313. Pretty good ride although we did it too fast.

I am amazed at the suspension and what it has done to the wheeler. The steering wheel was very well thought out and a great tool for the money spent. I also did a new air intake system and exhaust. WOW!!! We did over 100 miles in all kinds of condition and the air filter was clean when wqe were done. Yea the pre filter needed cleaning, but the filter is as clean as when we started.

Jared has been great to work with. He had a snafu with some parts that didn't come in right but he got right after that and had the machines ready when we arrived.

It has been a pleasure working with Ruthless Motor Sports and I will continue to spend money there. Jared and his crew were way more willing to help than any of the shops in our area. I would say he is well worth the drive!!

I will try to get some pictures loaded. Problem was we were having way too much fun to stop and take pictures
