That thing has more horsepower than our side x sides...SERIOUSLY!
Brad,
You need to post our trail 74 pics of marysvale...to show how its done! ![]()
Check with american manufacturing who also makes the Rockymountainatv.com Tusk plows.
It needs some ITP mudlites and about 6" lift. Some flames would add a lot too. ![]()
You will never be fast enough
. Just like my days with ATV's you can do everything to it, strip everything that doesn't require it to to run,and someone will still beat you. I would recommend waiting a year or two for a higher cc machine to work with. The Rhino and a few others is to heavy and not built to be a race car but a more durable off-road vehicle.
Knock-offs will always be cheaper, but try and find parts. Most of the chinese manufactures only have a few select dealers in the US and now with imports from china doubleing in labor and freight you will be cheaper in the long run going with a name brand. Depreciation will be dramatic too just look in the classifieds on import vs brand name scooters.
If you don't pay OHV fees our trails and facilities will go to waste. Without funding the opposition could step in and force them closed easily in my opinion.
My issue with it all is this. How big of warning sticker and safety manual do they need to get this in people's heads. I rolled mine at a dead stop, my own stupid mistake. I was fine until I was off camber another inch to tip but still, the manaul and stickers warn this. Doors will only prevent legs being crushed, bad overlook for Yamaha and others still producing without. It mentions a helmet to be worn, how many people actually do.
I think the warnings are clear. It's too bad the main developer of the toys get the brunt like Honda on three-wheelers in the 80's. My rollover could have cost me and a friend both our lives. The leg minders kept him from getting his feet out but the seat belt failed. I do not put anyone at fault unless it is negligent like the people who have had their legs crushed in rollover situations. In Utah you have over 300,000 registered off road vehicles. It is big news when one person gets killed. However, it is 99.9% of the time it was failure to obide by the safety instructions with the machine.
I hate to hear or see anyone die or get injured having fun, much like work. I spent many hours in school studying safety manuals before working in the shop to see one idiot do something the safety instructions mentioned. In 32 years of woodworking in cabinet shops I have yet to see a "true" accident. YOU RISK YOUR LIFE EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY. PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS AND YOUR SITUATION.
You da man!...Redman!
I had mine custom made and only have six bolts holding everything in. Been through a good double roll and only received deep scratches, no dents or bends.
450 cage w/ seat bracket
80 for the powder coat
120 for the rhino stock seats
240 for simpson harnesses
40 two ratchet bolts to connect front of cage
I had a sand rail builder (colliers customs) create my cage. I know he would be alot higher now but the welds are very nice.

2200 miles now...still strong! ![]()
How did Wales canyon go?
I did a 76 mile ride with the family (4 in the rhino) From the top of Fairview to highway 6, then to scofield and back up to the top. We had to show a group how to cross a creek about 8" deep the proper way...FAST! Nothing like a wall of water on your lap, three times ![]()
I won't be able to pull it off ...but next time! Brad, you better get in on this ride I think you would enjoy this more than Fairview where it will most likely be very dusty this weekend. I still want to go sometime again this summer!
I think you will be happy with them anyway. I have no regrets till itcomes to the sand. In mud, snow and rock they crawl, hook up and track nicely and don't chase ruts easily as the stocks.
I got my stock BTS light replacements installed last night, VERY impressive
. I would recommend anyone looking for alot of light to get these from Josh. The stock replacements are easy to install in less than an hour and put out awesome light  . I used wire taps instead of cutting the stock harnesses off. this way I could change back in a matter of minutes too. ![]()
