#32 Re: Goin' Riding... Who's with Me? » MARCH - MOAB, LITTLE SAHARAH or ST. GEORGE ANYONE? » 2011-03-14 15:17:32

I'll be there the 4th-10th.  I'll be camping just not sure where.

#33 Re: Yamaha Rhino Performance Mods » HCR long travel? » 2011-02-15 07:44:07

You'll definintley want to go with the stock cv's and put them on the axles that come with the kit.  Make sure you tell them if your Rhino is a 2-seater or 4-seater.
You wont believe the difference in stability and ride comfort.

#34 Re: Yamaha Rhino Performance Mods » HCR long travel? » 2011-02-14 21:27:38

The kits come with just axles,  you have to re-use the stock CV's.  Pretty normal for most long travel kits.  I have tried the off brand "plug and play" axles and have had no luck.

What machine are you planning on putting this on?

#35 Re: Yamaha Rhino Performance Mods » HCR long travel? » 2011-02-14 00:31:21

I have HCR long travel on my machines and love it.  I do the same type of riding that you mentioned, and haven't had any trouble with the kit.  The boxed arms have taken a lot of abuse and are holding up fine.
No problems with the stock ball joints.

Cant find a hotel room or house for rent for the entire weekend.  Does the Winter on the Rocks have any blocks of rooms reserved anywhere?

Thanks

Here are directions to the staging area.  Take exit 16 to telegraph rd, follow telegraph to 300 east and take left, stay on 300 east until you hit the "dam" road take left.  Stay on the "dam" road until asphalt ends, approx 1 mile after asphalt ends we pull over and unload.  I'll try to be there at 9:30 am fri morn.  Its gonna be great!

Was re-reading through the thread and wanted to make sure everyone knows I am referring to THIS weekend.  The presidents day weekend ride is now on the WOTR thread.

I'll be there friday and saturday.  Like I said not sure on sunday.  I'll post the directions later this week.

I'm planning on being here for this.  We met Del over the x-mas break and he showed us around.  Great guide, great trails, cant wait for this event.

I'll be down this weekend for sure to ride friday and saturday, not sure about sunday.  We meet at the end of the Washington Dam road, say about 9:30?
Supposed to be in the 60's!!!  Let me know whos in for what days.

Anybody and everybody is invited!!  Should be a great weekend for riding.

#42 Re: The X Spot » IS IT A NEW CLASS OF SIDE X SIDE? » 2011-01-01 10:07:19

Not sure it's a "whole new class of SXS".  But it certainly raises the bar.  For my type of riding, not sure how the trailing arms will work.  It looks as if I'd "bump" them on the rocks.
The rear arms dont look very heavy duty.  I dont get my machine over 50 mph very often, and always felt I've had plenty of power.  My RZR with long travel is just as wide and only 2" less on wheelbase.  Not sure why I'd need one.

I would however like that motor in my RZR 4!

These are my initial thoughts.

Cant go wrong with the RZR 4!  Sometimes I wonder why I just dont buy another one and sell my teryx, rhino and "S".   It makes everything look real easy.

Where is this trail at?  Looks like a fun trail.

To bad on your machine Brad.  Sounds like you'll be good as new shortly!

Ryan, how did the 4 do on those ledges?  Any clearance problems?

I found out today that I'm getting my knee scoped  on Wednesday.  If everything goes well I should be ready to head out thursday afternoon, the other variable is weather.
Due to lack of maps and GPS coords on the St Geroge trails, looks like we'll be heading to Moab to do some trail scouting for the Rally.

I know it's hard to plan, but it's gonna be a thursday morning decision for us.
