We will all be at the rally. All of us have different setups, but all mainly for crawling. Jared can definately set you up with parts for crawling - he did mine. I am partial to the RZR S and RZR 4 (no trailing arms to drag up ledges), but the XP 900 and Wild Cat are impressive - and you will be able to test drive a cat at the rally. There are a lot of vendors and attendee's that would be happy to give you their opinions and advice (especially 66cummins
you coming to the Rally Kyle???)
Thanks for the fix Mark... and the kind words. I enjoy making videos, wish it paid ![]()
Welcome Dragon Slayer!
Here is a video I put together of this trip:

Got my Brake line in 1 day (UPS ground) from Speedlinez.com - installed and bled
See you all at the trailhead Friday.
Sweet! I have a cab heater I will sell you.
Same here, I will be riding Friday and Sat. I think Lanse was suggesting Warner Valley on Friday and rock crawling on Sat near Sand Hollow. We are staying with Jana's Mom in St. George. Not sure where to meet for Warner Valley ride - will leave that to Lanse. For crawling on Sat. we will meet on Washington Dam road, 1st pull off on the right (parking area right next to the road).
I did a test run with my HCR long travel and lost a front brake line - I need to get one and Brakes bled before Thursday evening ![]()
IMO - I would buy a used Polaris or Rhino first... unless you want your head spinning when it needs a repair.
so what are you going to do with your air shocks? why not use them over the kings?
HCR took my old A-arms, axles and Legend shocks (compressor, gauges etc.) on trade and have them listed on ebay.
I liked the adjustability of the air shocks for ride height and also the ride in certain situations, but, I was dissapointed with the dampening across the range and also balance - I ride withour sway bar and it was tricky to keep the machine level. Another dispointment is bag failure - I lost a shock at the last Rally, which Legend replaced with one they had at the show (they are the best at standing behind their products). Riverdad lost one in Nov. and with no replacement and his machine setting on the ground, he packed up and went home  If he would have been out on Hells Revenge when it lost air, he would have had a tough time getting it back to the trailhead. I think the only way I would be completely happy with them is if they were able to adjust the dampening as the spring rate (air preasure) changes. Also under constant action I felt like they suffer fade from heat - an external reservior would help. Also a contigency plan for limping your machine out in the case of an air bag failure.
The Kings have an external reservior (better cooling) and adjustable (clickers) dampening. I rode with Chournos and was surprised that I would have trouble on obstacles that he didn't and rode his RZR S with this setup and was blown away (especially in the Whoops). I will sacrifice the ride height for adjustable damping. Chournos runs them on the softest setting in the rocks, and can increase for sand, whoops, etc.
Ron, I am going with the King shocks - same as Lanse's setup - with clickers
I am getting new standard flares and new rocker plastic Thursday, will put it back together and post some photos.
We will arrive Thursday evening and ride Fri-Sat (maybe a little Sunday). Up for anything! Valley of Fire is always fun, but a little bit of a trek from St. George. I do want to get some crawling in to test out the new HCR suspension ![]()
I will talk to Chournos about ride plans and post something. Looks like I will avoid the crowded hotels, save some money and stay with my Mother-in-Law ![]()
Looks fun Jim! You still got the RZR? Are you coming to the Rally this year?
Welcome to the forum Randy! You meet the best people riding Side x Sides ![]()
