Im looking at the rhino and the teryx. I do farm work and play alot. not a whole lot of mud but like climbing hills and stuff. also we have to chase our cattle sometimes to herd them. so what should i get rhino or teryx and why do you think i should get it?

I would get the Rhino because it is fuel injected. I like the Teryx a lot, but you will have to wait for an 09' (should be showing up in a month or 2). Some great deals on the 08's right now (both Teryx and Rhino).

Badly is right on the money... right now is a really great time to pick up an 08! So fuel injected or not is an important question to ask yourself. They will both serve your purpose very well. You will have a little more power with the teryx. A little finer finish work and design on the rhino. Give us a little more input about what is important to you and I am sure more folks will chime in to help you out.
They do have a different feel so if you get a chance to drive both, do it. ![]()

I do not want to be one sided but the rhino and the teryx are not really work UTVs and are more like UTVs for play, that is what they were designed for, if you want to use it on the farm to haul stuff and tow stuff the ranger xp is the better choice, I know this because I have had to tow back to camp a few rhinos in my day
, It also plays very well also
, You get a better wider stock suspension so you don't get that tippy feeling and a faster stock mile per hour speed then the rhino and the teryx, It has a much bigger cargo box and much better on board storage, the first rangers have been out way longer then either of the other manufactures in this field of UTVs and they have ran since 2005 the same basic Bosch fuel injection from the 2004 sportsman, They unlike the RZR have had little trouble and are very easy to maintain, You can do a belt change in less then 20 minutes, much easier then a rhino and this allways happens at the worst times, It also includes a 500 watt stator for running all your accessories and the rhino has about half that, not sure about the teryx, As for the last couple of years the performance market has cought up with it and parts are plentaful now and they responde well to them, I really like what they did with the 2009 model and it is a much improved machine then my 2005 and i have never had a problem with my 2005 xp, well I just thought i would put my two cents in since the ranger xp was not included for some reason, And no I am not a polaris Salesman, Just a happy owner

Just look at all your options before you put down $10,000+ dollars, The Ranger is faster then the stock Rhinos and Teryx, Ranger at 50 mph and the Teryx at 48 mph and the rhino at 42 mph. well the rest is up to you but at least look one over before making a decision, they are all fine machines with there pluses and minuses, well that all i have to add and good luck on whatever you decide on

i too was looking at the rhino and teryx, and tested both as well as many others except for the ranger xp. When i finally decided on the teryx i went to a dealer that sold all three machines because they had good deals on the 08 models. We had the kawasaki ready to load when my wife said that she liked the ranger because of the bench seat, we have a 5 month old is her reasoning. After talking to her, she finally said drive all of them so you can compare, so i did, and wow I could not believe how much friendlier the ranger was compared to the other two. More room, better ride, quiter, seats 3 just all around more comfortable. Now I have an 09 xp 700, perfect for hauling us and the dogs and the car seat fits great in the middle and is very safe with the extra seatbelt. I use mine for about 20/80 work play.
