Re: Canon Rebel T1i

I am looking at getting a new "dual purpose" camera. I want to be able to take HD Video and Great pictures all in one unit.  big_smile

Looking at the Canon Rebel T1i as an option. Anyone out there have any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I have a sony 1080p video camera that we use for my sons football games.  at any point in time you push the still picture button and it takes a 5 mega pixel  picture.  Works great.

I will bring it to hanging tree next weekend.

I have the same HD video camera (30 gig HD). Best camera I have owned. HD video is awesome, stills are great too. I am a Nikon fan, but I would not want to pack an SLR (like a d-90) around - but the stills are fantastic.
I think you can get the Sony HD for a good price at Costco.

Re: Canon Rebel T1i

Thanks for the feedback guys! I am wanting a camera with better picture quality, zoom, etc than (what I think) cameras like you guys have. I could be wrong though. Thoughts on that? Not sure how the HD video is on a camera like the Rebel either? Im sure its not a good as what i would get on a video camera like you guys have? Am I far off????
