#917 Re: Yamaha Rhino Performance Mods » 07 660....wanna move the air intake under the hood » 2009-03-15 20:03:57

I did. Initially just snorkeled it

http://www.sidexsideforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=683

but I have since moved the air box to the front under the hood. Had to adapt hose the carb, but was able to come straight off the front of the engine. Much cleaner engine compartment and filter stays clean longer.
Rear window will trap the dust.

It would be interesting to know which is less $ Factory long travel or aftermarket. I would expect aftermarket to be less, but?Anyone?

Brad,

You need an 'S'.  You should drive to Bluffdale one night and check out mine.  I'm going to try to finish wiring my winch today.  If I get it done, you can drive it too.   8)

Thanks Brad. Don't need one anymore  big_smile  Picked it up Sat. Now we need to convert Ryan  wink
I do want to trade notes with you on accessories. Bought Rock Sliders from dealer (excellent deal), but will be shopping for everything else with Ruthless Motorsports. Should have street legal kit this week.

Weller Recreation in Kamas. Good deal, excellent people. Escape could have sold me one, but they want retail  roll  Weller has another one  wink  Mr. Kryptonite can get you a great deal in Manti too (1 available). There are enough of them sitting on dealer floors that no one should pay retail right now.

Installed my Bulldog ATV street legal kit (thanks Ruthless Motor Sports), got it inspected and licensed  big_smile  Now I have to take a Motorcycle (written) test, and a driving test in my Rhino for ATV license  :?

Thank you very much. We are always happy to help. How did your tests go?

Haven't taken them yet... maybe this Friday. Jana is going to test also  smile

So Chris posted today that Can Am will not release a UTV in 2009 (no word on 2010 either). Yamaha is still no show  roll

I am going! Just not sure where I am staying... maybe with Fasttrax  big_smile

Don't fret, we'll find a place for you for sure.  However, I believe Fasttrax is expecting your company.

Staying at the Silver Sage Inn - just up 191 from KOA. Very good price ($70/night $80/weekend), has fridge and microwave so breakfast and lunches will be easy. Most important a shower, etc for the wife  tongue  I will be at the KOA for dinner and entertainment  wink  big_smile

FYI - for any of you others that are going - OK is booked, KOA filling up fast (cabins are gone), hotels are slim pickens and expensive.

Registered at utvrally.com - getting excited... is it May yet?  8)
