This sounds like a great ride, I guess this is for May 2011?  I would like to do this.

Here are the coords, lets do this.  When is a good for everyone?  I'll be at the UTV rally in marysvale the 12-14 of aug, and my son has football games every saturday starting the  21st, other than that I am open.  Fridays are good if y'all can get off work.

Lanse, the coords for Rattlesnake TH are N40'15.663 W112'12.534 and the Constrictor TH is N40'16.790 W112'11.590. These coords are just appox.; as I just took them off of Google Earth. There is parking @ N40'14.878 W112'12.803. To get to 5MP, from Tooele head south and turn left on SR73 for about 20 or so miles. From Lehi, head W for 25 miles or so on SR73

Lets do this trail, do any of the dates mentioned earlier work?

Has anyone heard of 5 mile pass?  Its about 20 miles west of Lehi.  Here is a youtube video.  love to try this one.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICUzSXDUo1g

Lets do some riding!

From the trail description it sounds like it a fun trail to run.  With the Pittsburgh trail being closed is there still an "rockin" to do?

So it looks like you either have or had an 09 rzr s.  What is the verdict?  I mainly trail ride and rock crawl.  How does the articulation compare?  I have a refundable deposit down on a commander and am looking to put a long arm kit on it, but not sure how the independant TTI works in those enviroments.

I currently trade between a RZR with a 6" kit, RZR 4 with 6" long travel and a rhino with 6" long travel, have to get rid of one to get a commander.

I can go this friday.  If that doesn't work, how about Aug. 18,20,25 or 27.

Does anyone have any experience with the American Fork Canyon "jeep trail" in Utah?  I found a cool article about it, and it looks like a place to get a rock fix without going to Moab.

I would like to do a day ride this summer/fall there.

Any info is appreciated, Thanks.

#85 Re: Ranger and RZR Parts and Accessories » Steering stabilizer versus power steering » 2010-07-26 09:25:11

I have been looking into putting power steering on my long travel rhino and came across a "steering stabilizer".  Has anyone had any experience with this?  I know what I would get with the full power steering, just not sure if the stabilizer is worth anything.

Is power steering that good?

#86 Re: General Discussion about Yamaha Rhinos » Is it really worth it? Rhino Long Travel? » 2010-07-21 20:27:44

I went to a Moab UTV rally for the first time this year and was introduced to the world of long travel.  I had a stock RZR and Rhino.  After seeing the difference in stability and control immeditley put long travel on all my machines.  I also do not go to the dunes and do mostly "jeep" trails.  I put an EPI clutch kit on the rhino as well as an HCR +6" long travel with King shocks.  You would not believe the difference!!!  You are right about the Rhino not being a dune machine without major engine work.  As far as jeep and mountain trails the Rhino is a great machine.  I am a firm believer in suspension and WILL NOT ever have stock suspension again.  BTW, if you check with the different long travel companies, prices have come way down.  I do reccomend looking at HCR Racing, ask for Damon and tell him Lanse sent you.
Hope this helps.

I forgot to ask you guys. On the way back (about 3/4 of the way) I looked to the right and there was a little side trail/hill, that looked really cool.  Did you guys notice it and get a chance to climb it?  The pictures and video look great.  After I got back I looked into clutching and had Triple S put their spring and weights on, what a difference.  Cant wait to go "rockin" again!

I have a 2009 Ranger that I bought for my wife that was custom painted pink.  Now I am having trouble selling it.  Is my best option to re-paint or get new plastics?  It looks like it is just one big piece with a hood.

Thanks

The RZR 4 stopped at the 20-30 foot water slide/fall.  I could have made it up with the rest of the machines, just wasn't sure how much farther we had to go and had a 2 1/2 hour drive ahead of me.  The 30's, with full UHMW and rock sliders were a must!
