How about test driving this things, and from there decide. all models has its ups and down its the drivers preferences really matter.
I would agree changing the belt still 1500 miles is safe enough but the sooner the better.

if you are not mechanically incline i suggest to bring it to the shop coz surely they are competent and has complete tools.

Just a question much is the running cost for the set of adapters to adapt the 4x115 bolt pattern i really need them badly.
Try to adjust the a/f screw while using the stock jettings but if you cant catch the right setting this is the time that you will need to rejet.
Wow you have a lot of electronic on your ride i would suggest to use just one battery but a higher ampere capacity your stator is just right for your system.
Actually its purpose is to cool down the belt and system. I would suggest to don't take it of or may be just retrofit it.
