We have been talking about doing a ride sometime in August in another thread and since it was getting quite long I thought I would start a new one detailed to this August ride.
Here is my thoughts and info.
I just learned that I need to be involved with putting on a Side X Side race/rock course for the Xtreme Off-Road Show in Manti that is to be held on August 7th. This is an all day event which I hope I can get all of you to attend. Not just to watch but to race in.
It is going to be cool! Trust me!
So... My thoughts are scatered all over the place because I am not sure what the rest of you are able to do.
I can ride any time between Aug 4th-11th. After you all chime in when you are avail we can plan rides arround the Xtreme Off-Road Show on Sat allowing us to be in the off-road show.
More info on the expo----> www.xtremeoffroadshow.com
Let me know your thoughts.
OK.... I am going to start a new thread dealing with this issue. Look for it... ![]()
If you dont mind me asking what are your plans for it?
Looks like a great spot! Be sure and post up some pix along the way!
Oh, and more to come!

It the first time in my 3 visits to get off the trail in daylight, and that's with us running it in reverse to get back out.
It must have been your guide this time that made the difference! lol
OR side x sides are just a lot better at rock crawling than jeeps and such! 8)
Thanks, to Jared for guiding the "hanging tree" (SOB) trail today. How much farther was it to the top? I just got rocked out today. Made it back fine, how about the rest of you?
With all the cameras rolling cant wait to see the video that I know is forthcoming. If any of you got some good stills of the 4, let me know, I would like to get a copy on CD.
Thanks again, good group to go riding with.
You are very welcome! The top was about 200 yards or so. We all made it back fine. It was great seeing you again!
Oh, yeah... and what did we learn you ask? Well I can promise you that next ride every single one of us that was on the trail today will have a spare valve stem in there tool bag.
You should too!
WOW! WHAT A GREAT DAY!
We ended up with a total of 6 rigs run the trail today. Its to bad you couldnt make it Steve. Gabe and Cory said that you were to big of a sissy to show up after you saw some pix and video....
Anyway we had a great day! We learned something too! All I knew is that we were making it to the top this time..... and we did!
Carnage you ask? Not much really. A few center caps, tail lights, a few rigs onto there side, but we all made it! There was a good amount of water coming down this time which added to this trails excitement.
Our longest, and most tuff time of the day is when Gabe tore a valve stem on his Rhino and he did not have a spare tire or a spare valve stem. Infact not one of us had a .99cent valve stem! Not one! Lynn had a spare tire (polaris) but we could not break the bead on it. So, we pulled out the knife and cut a hole in the tire inorder to get the valve stem out.
Yeah, I know, seems a bit much for a valve stem but we got back on the trail.
I want to thank those of you who made it down into my country for this ride! You all make the day even better!
Pictures and video soon to come!
ITS HERE! YEAH!
Ruth is not coming... but my Dad is!
We are going to have soooooo much fun tomorrow!
Welcome to the forum boats40!
