IT IS USUALLY 10 TO 15 DEGREES HIGHER @ GLAMIS. THIS WEEK HAS BEEN HUMID TOO WHICH IS UNUSUAL FOR JULY. SO THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IS YES IT IS TOO LATE FOR YOU TO GO TO GLAMIS NOW. YOU ALSO DO NOT WANT TO GO ALONE. YOU SHOULD GO WITH SOMEONE WHO KNOWS THE AREA FOR THE FIRST TRIP.

WE PLAN ON STARTING @ TABLETOP @ 7:30 A.M. SATURDAY JULY 5TH. AFTER THE RIDE THE GOLDEN ACORN CASINO WILL BE HAVING THEIR FIREWORKS ON SATURDAY NIGHT. SHOULD BE GREAT WEEKEND. MAYBE SUNDAY WE WILL MAKE A TRIP TO THE TECATE TRAIN TUNNEL.

I AM ORDERING FRONT & REAR LONESTAR BRACES FROM SDHQ OFFROAD.
SINCE YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO WORK ON IT YOURSELF, STAY AWAY FROM THE FUEL INJECTED MODELS. FOR WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING TO DO, I WOULD SAY YOU NEED A POLARIS RANGER (NOT A RZR.) OR A KAWASAKI MULE. THE RZR IS FAST BUT BASICALLY DOESN'T HAVE A BED. THE RANGER IS LIKE A SMALL TRUCK. YOU SIT UP STRAIGHT WITH A BIG STEERING WHEEL & 3 PEOPLE CAN SIT IN THE SEAT. THE RHINO IS MORE SPORTY & YOU SIT DOWN IN IT. IF YOU HAVE EVER DRIVEN A JEEP YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM DRIVING ANY SIDEXSIDE. THE RHINO HAS A BED & CAN CARRY SOME WEIGHT BUT NOT AS MUCH AS THE RANGER. I AM PARTIAL TO THE RHINO & THEY HAVE BEEN AROUND THE LONGEST & THERE ARE MORE OF THEM OUT THERE & THERE ARE LOTS OF AFTERMARKET PARTS FOR THE RHINO.
Thank you for the input. One more question is....with the larger tires and wheels it is harder to steer or easier?
I CHANGED THE TIRES THE DAY I GOT IT SO I DON'T KNOW. I KNOW YOU DON'T WANT THE FRONTS OFFSET TOO MUCH OR IT WILL BE HARDER TO STEER & HARDER ON THE BALL JOINTS & STEERING PARTS.
I HAVE ITP 14" x 26" TERRACROSS TIRES WITH 14" ITP RIMS. I HAVE A DRAGONFIRE CDI, K&N FILTER WITH OUTERWEAR & A BILLET EXHAUST TIP. WITH THE BED FULLY LOADED & MY WIFE & MYSELF IN THE RHINO. WE RAN 53 MPH. THE TERRACROSSES WORK GREAT IN ROCKS & DIRT. THEY WORK OKAY IN THE SAND BUT PADDLES WOULD BE BETTER. SO FOR ME THE TERRACROSS 14"X26" TIRES IS THE WAY TO GO. OUR RHINO IS A 2007 660 SPORT EDITION. THE OFFSET WHEELS MAKE IT FEEL VERY STABLE.

im gettin into it to..its all in how fast and what class you want to be in..im goin to start in the stck class..whitch is really self exp. i want a long travel to handle the jumps ..but 4500 is alittle steep 4 me..im just goin to get better shocks..1500 make a long story short..the faster you want to be the more money
