I have a couple RV spots left but for only two more weeks.

Ryan what days are you guys planning on being there? And do you still have an RV spot available.

#32 Re: Where to Ride? » Anyone ever ride the Rubicon Trail in a UTV? » 2009-06-16 07:54:53

I'll start the ball rolling and throw out some dates. How does September 18/19 2009 look for the Rubicon? We can start on the Tahoe side so those coming in from the East don't have to drive as far(see how I sacrifice Kyle). Sorry Kevin, that adds a little more drive for you.

If anyone wants to stay another day on the 20th we can attempt Fordyce trail. I say attempt because water release from the damn dam dictate our success. PG&E has a tentative flow of 5 CFM starting in mid September, anything above 150 CFM can make the creek crossings a little dicey, anything over 200 CFM and you had better have pontoons.

Thanks Seth! This forum isn't the biggest or have the most members, but all the regulars are A+ (except me, C- and occasional F  lol ).

Come on Bradley, you're much improved in the past few months  wink and now that you have the power of the "S" on your side your destined for greatness

Currently the 50" hasn't hit California. Other states, beside the two you mentioned, have started to impose width limits and I wouldn't thing CA is far behind. With that said if I was in the market I'd get the S again without thinking twice

Shannon, sorry to hear about your father. We missed you at the Rally.

Shannon where would we be staging? What day? I'm towing the 5th wheel out so once I get to Moab I have to find a way to move my machine

All Photoshop.....you're pretty good Brad  wink

#38 Re: Goin' Riding... Who's with Me? » 2009 Moab Rally » 2009-03-15 19:17:16

Is this "Rally" thing going to be like a group parade or technical riding? Anything too technical frightens me

Dale he had another post about an idling problem, I'll bet the two are related

#40 Re: Ranger and RZR Photo Gallery » New Cage! » 2009-03-12 09:05:10

Very nice design and the "S" looks good relieved of the factory stickers, time for me to get out the heat gun. And I won't be afraid to take off the dash warning sticker either  lol

You mind sharing some of your dimensions? How tall is it from the threshold where the side seat bar mounts on the floor to the top of the cage in front and rear? Is the roof section parallel or is there some taper from front to back? What do you have planned for the tabs in the rear section?

From what Ryan tells me about how you take care of your stuff, I just might let you.  I know if I let Ryan take it, it may get rolled over.   wink

That's funny..........or did you mean "Take Care Of" like a Hit Man?  wink

#42 Re: General Polaris Ranger and Polaris RZR Discussions » Looking for RZR seatbelts » 2009-03-04 20:39:00

Dragon Fire sells a nice 4 point set for about $135. They wrap around the bar behind the seat and use the factory mounts for the lap belt. All belts are 3" wide and the chest belts secure with a chest clip that keeps the belts comfortably in place. I believe they are made by DJ Safety and labeled for DFR, so you might be able to get them from DJ and save a little.

#43 Re: General Polaris Ranger and Polaris RZR Discussions » loud loud loud tranmission noise » 2009-03-04 16:10:59

A little late now but some guys have remedied the noise by changing the fluid in the trans to a heavier fluid. Hearing that yours was burned reinforces that for me. I'm using a 5W/30 thats designed for tractors transmissions and yet to have any problems or noises

Are you coming to a complete stop prior to shifting and letting the engine RPM drop?

This may sound strange but try putting it into reverse briefly, then into High.

#45 Re: General Polaris Ranger and Polaris RZR Discussions » Picked up the RZR S today... » 2009-02-01 21:48:44

Half windshield or full windshield for my 'S'.  Which and why?

I went with a 1/2. A full windshield creates a vacuum in the cab area and sucks in dust. The 1/2 isn't as bad and you can slide it up on the roll bar that creates a space below the windshield that lets air in to break that vacuum. If you only ride in cold wet areas the full would be OK, the 1/2 is more versatile and still provides a good wind screen at high speeds
