The only thing i want to add to this is that if some of the people start posting there products and promoting there business all the time for free on the site i would want them to consider one of Marks advertisement deals to help sponsor our site  . I think it is only fair because it does cost to run and maintain SideXSide forum :?: . Spam and businesses that are not related to what this site is representing will be evaluated and maybe deleted. Businesses that abuse advertising on the site for free will be recommended to sign up to one of marks advertising specials to continue to do so :?: . It is only fair to our site and mark. If you do see something that is posted that is questionable please contact mark or me or Jared so we can look into it to help keep our site clean and spam free

Well this can get to be a very involved answer because from model to model year, and from the standard RZR to the RZR-s it is all about what they did to tune the clutch. Standard rzrs from 9/30/08 and before had the good secondary clutch system and 10/01/08 and after used the basic same cheap crappy one that is used on the Ranger Xp. The Rzr-s was never effected with this change. The difference between the standard RZR and the RZR-s primary clutch is tuning and EBS and by removing the limiter on the RZR-s models. On the 2010 models they removed the limiter and the sheaves are still about the same. there are a few part number changes but none of which would blow a belt. Like i stated earlier in the thread, belt failure is normally related to alignment problems, Broken engine or transmission mounts or a defective belt. I personally would not just take the limiter off unless i was going to do a full clutch kit and check the alignment anyways but that is me. As for every one person that has had the belt issue there are 20 that don't. There are much better belts out there like the ones from dayco that are much stronger then the stock belts. Like with all modifications there will always be a risk that a modification that is done to one machine may not work as well on a same model but a different machine. Until you try it you will never know what the outcome will be. As for doing any modifications it should only be done if you are mechanically inclined and if that is not the case i would deal with a guy like dale at dirty dawg performance and have him set it up for you.....
No because it is one of the modifications that they do to the RZR-s to get more top end out of it and they have removed it on the 2010 standard RZR.
The answer to your question is the pump will use a little power with the key on but not as nearly much as it would be if it was running. The thing you do need to remember is there is other sources of leakage that will drain power depending on the model like the ecm and the ecu on the fuel injected models or even reverse draining through the charging system because the engine is not running.
As of now Polaris corporate has not Admitted to the problem but has Added upgrades that has cut down the heat on the 2010 models except for a gasket kit that some dealers have given to buyers of 2010 models and some 2009 models. Yes i will agree to that Polaris needs to do something and they should. I also think they should give me an 800 to replace my 2005 because mine came with a 700 and it should have come with the 800 to begin with. But then i am just joking on the last statement
. But then again there is the broken sway bar issue and the lean condition of the 2005 model that melts the seat and the front ball joints that go out on the 2005 and 2006 models and remember that the rhino has a bit of a roll over problem as well. none of which i have complained about at all in the past. Every UTV has its good and bad points and there is always going to be something to complain about regardless of manufacture  :!:
.
So how long would it take to change a belt on the RZR in the field? I don't think it goes over belt changing in the manual, correct? Just looks like a royal pain in the a$$ even in the garage. I'm glad to hear that these belts are so tough. Never really had a belt/clutch drive machine B4 so I was a bit skeptical about buying the RZR, but so far very happy.
It is not as easy as the ranger xp but it can be done in under an hour. Blow out the sheves with air and make sure that you use a scotch brite to take the shine off the sheves and wipe them down with brake cleaner before installing the new belt. If you want you can remove the clutch limiter and get 3 to 6 mph as well....
Dose the prowler have a steel bed or plastic bed :?: . And did you use a spray in bed liner :?: . The reason I am asking is I would like to do the same to mine but i have had conflicting information that the spray in bed liner will not bond well to plastic :?: .
That's gotta be one of the cleanest lookin' Prowlers I've seen in a while. Well done.
I have never been a big fan of green but it really looks good on this one
.
Looks real good, I see that you fixed the photo problem...
You can post them directly on this site. If you look at the tool bar where you post a reply you will see a icon with a mountain and a sun. that will do the same thing without the problems at least on this site  .
Some years back i did allot of race car fab work as a crew chief and car builder for SCCA and NHRA class cars and I did like what i seen with yours . It is way to common for people to over-think what a cage should be built like and especially when you build a cage for a UTV that only has 50 to 75 hp and a certain size wheel base, you do not need a real heavy and top heavy cage to do the same purpose. A real heavy cage on a UTV that already has a poor power to weight ratio and that is the same with all UTVs is counter productive. Yours is still light and strong and not over thought
. Oh and also you need to check your photo bucket because your photos are coming in and out .
Keep up the good work and the pictures....
This is a good example of a well built bolt in roll cage for a UTV. Good work
. The only thing i notice and it may be the picture shot is the weld on the botom of the tube on the drivers side center support tube  .
thanks for the info
You are welcome
. It is nice to see people asking questions on the site again
