Just be aware of the cost of buying a kit from a dealer. (not after market) just manufacturer kits. It can be done with heavy duty parts for less $.
With all thoes damn RZRs poping up its nice to see another Rhino rider.
(just joking)
Sweet ride thoe. Great pictures.
if your looking into more fun than work but still plan on doing some work get a Yamaha Rhino 700, its a well proven machine small enuf to fit in tight places and tough enuff to do work.
I own a Rhino 700 and I work the hell out of it all year plowing snow and mowing grass and Im still able to enjoy just horsing around with it as well and I have yet to find a problem with it or have any kind of trouble. In my opinion I think its the best all around UTV.
sounds like you need something like this. But they cost alot more than a regular side x side for sure. I dont see any other side x side with a bucket on it thoe but im thinking this will out work anything else and that sounds like what your looking for. $30.000+
ouch

Everything you could ask about this you should be able to find on theis sites.

this topic has been a beaten horse.
The RZR-S is hands down with out a doubt a sweet ride for sure but I have to ask, What do you hunt? If its anything bigger than rabbits and birds you may want to think about something with some cargo room in the back. (ranger, rhino, teryx)
Rock crawling? Unless you thinking about lift kits and rock sliders Id be looking for the most ground clearance you can get, My Rhino is 12+ inches and it bottoms out and rubs on everything when im in the woods. 2 inches less is alot when it comes to rocks and stumps.
I dont know much about the RZR but if you can add on a 2inch recever to the front you can use this plow also, I have one on my Rhino and it works great.

2X4 will work fine on trails and dirt roads like everyone else has said but if I were you I would invest in a winch and a few tow straps as well for sure, You never know what you will get into. ![]()
Good point on the amber lights no need for this if amber lights are needed. I was just thinking it would look cool to use the stock tails for turn signals. less lights and wires to damage could be a good thing when your out in the ruff.
Titan, When is the move to Utah?
I would have moved the day I found out Maine was not legal  if I had the cash flow to do so. ![]()
So befor I found out that the state of Maine would not let a Rhino become street legal I was looking into geting turn signals hooked up, now since it would be a waste of money I thought I might as well share the plan I had come up with for my tail lights.
You can get a converter for trailer lights. what it does is turns brake lights into turn signals, brake lights will still work like normal but it seperates the turn signals left from right. (so both lights dont blink at the same time) but still alows for the use of hazard lights. This would be simple to use on a side x side and it shows how to wire it right on the converter it self, this would save hooking up and mounting an extra set of lights on the rear just for blinkers.
This is a very small box and is only about 1/2 inch thick, water tight and comes with 3M tape to hold it in place. I got one about 10 years ago for a trailer and it still works great. I think it cost around $20-$30.

I think this turn signal switch has the converter built in but will take a little more time and wiring to install.

After 2 hours on the phone with the state of Maine I finaly got an answer, No ATV or UTV is street legal in Maine.
Anyone know of a house for sale in Utah. ![]()
Looks like a disconnect kit could be built like the ones they use on jeeps, I think they installed one on extreme 4x4 on spike TV , I know that the RZR-s has no front sway bar from the factory.
I was thinking some heavy tierod ends like this would make a great disconnect for the back of my Rhino.
I tow a DR mower in the fall and still want my rear sway bar for stability on side hills but want to be able to disconnect it when i go into the woods.
I would say that any of them are easy enuf to tip over. Just have to be smarter than the machine and ride with in your comfort zone.
My self, I own a Rhino, but if it was between the Prowler, Ranger or Teryx I would say Teryx.
It seems the Prowler is having trouble with rearends and the Ranger is more of a work machine.
I have not heard anything bad about the Teryx (yet) and its more sporty than the others and is still ideal for a rear seat and extended roll cage.
Just wondering if you thought about the Rhino?
Best of luck with your choice, keep us posted on what you get.
I talked to the tech that works for my cousin this morning and he has fixed a few of them and says that once they pop out once it can damage the gear or the tip of the shaft so that when its reinstaled it will not fit tightly. he has replaced the shaft and gears on a few machines. he said most of them were on the 1000, Big tires and lift kits make it worse. Sounds to me like there should be a free air vent put in 3/8 or bigger
rear drive gearcase assembly
secondary drive assembly
not much help, hope it all gets worked out
