#16 Re: Events, Rallies, & Races » GNCC's new utv race rules. » 2011-02-17 06:04:36

I know that most of the people on here are out west, but i thought i would update everyone on the rule changes for the gncc utv races this year. Last year you had to have a passenger, 4 point harnesses, and doors or nets. Now the driver and passenger both have to wear fire suits, isn't this alittle much, or is bursting into flames more of an issue than i think? lol

Never mind, it was a scam. We said we wanted to look at it and they said they weren't in the country but the machine was and they would have to ship it to us, i won't buy anything big without looking it over first.

Good video, i did that with a 350 wolverine pulling a mini van and small trailer, but nothing that heavy. I have a 450 wolverine thats the same motor so i know the motor, but it only weighs 516 lbs, so i didn't know how doubling the weight would effect it. It seams to have enough power, just not alot of speed.

I live in PA, so i've never even seen the dunes, but i do climb some small hard packed hills in the woods.

I found a rhino 450 for a really good price, and i was wondering if it would be a good choice for wooded trails and yard work. The trails are mostly lease roads and logging roads, with some light mud, small hills, and some tight twisty trails. Budget, and controlability are more important than speed now, because of my bad arm, and i just want to enjoy riding again. Is the 450 a capable trail cruiser?

Thanks i will have to get ahold of you, my older boy wants to know if you let bikes ride with you? He's been getting picked on by the guys we ride with, because he traded his quad for a dirt bike, and he only saw side x sides and quads in your pictures.

Thanks for the welcome, i'm leaning for either one of the polaris models, or one of the rhino's. I test drove a teryx, and it was fun until the motor blew up, and it was a new machine.

We were just in templeton, pa on september 18, for my kids atv race, that is some really nice country. When i finally get my quad sold and get my side x side, i would love to come and ride with you.

Hello, i'm still trying to decide on my first side x side, so i was going to wait to post on here, but thought maybe you guys would have some opinions on what would be my best options. I raced quads for 11 years in the gncc, and awrcs series, but i was in a car accident that destroyed my left arm 4 years ago. So i need something that i can go out and ride in the woods with my kids  that i don't have to use both arms all the time to drive it. My left arm is still there, but it can't take the constant pressure from handle bars anymore, i miss going riding with my boys(they have their own machines), but my quad hurts me too much. The options for test drives around here are very limited, so any info would be helpful.

If this isn't the correct spot for this i'm sorry, i'm new on here.
