I'm in.

Just to clarify we are riding the 14th and 15th right?
So I'll arrive the 13th.
Where is everyone staying?

Not sure if I'll have the RZR S by then.

Mind if I invite my brother?

I might stay at the Arch View RV park.  I want to do some night riding.
There are cabins there if you need one.

Ravencr was interested in a November Moab trip for a magazine article.
I could make November if we can pick a date.

Mark you calendar, September 28th on the Paiute was absolute peak of perfection for riding.
Colors were almost fluorescent  and the weather was great.

You will be seeing articles in both Side X Side Action and UTV Offroad of the Paiute soon.

It was a great ride.
We started with 5 RZRs, added 3 more for a while and at the 100 mile mark we were down to 2 of us.

I can't show you pics until after they are published in the magazine. (policy).

There were lots of Side X Sides at the Jam.   Probably 15% of all rides.
All the manufacturers were there in force with the big rigs.

Best product I saw was the RyFab diamond plate box for the RZR.  Its a full size box that
fills the rear of the RZR bed.  Gives you lots of room.  As soon as I know what photos are in the
article I'll post one of the box.

Awesome trip.  Can you post a map or GPS tracks?

#277 Re: The X Spot » Street legal in UTAH... finally? » 2008-09-29 09:39:26

You need a mirror on both sides of the driver.
So either a left mirror and right mirror, or a left mirror and rear view mirror.

You also need a lighted speedometer.

The Safety Inspection manual was published lat week and people are scrambling to certify inspectors.

It looks like we are at about 5 rigs.  Anyone else?????

Its your chance to be in print!

#279 Re: The X Spot » Street legal in UTAH... finally? » 2008-09-08 18:43:12

Yes it is starting to look suspiciously like the Utah Dept of public safety will not be ready with the safety inspection manuals and even if it is ready none of the inspectors will be certified for OHVs before Oct 1.

Bulldog has a great kit ready to ship and cannot get anyone to answer from the UDPS.

Seriously I need riders or this article will look sort of blank.

#281 Re: Where to Ride? » Anyone with info on this ride?? Utah Paiute Trail » 2008-09-04 20:32:45

The Jamboree is all week long.  We are just doing a group ride for UTVs on the 16th so we can get good pics for the magazine.

#283 Re: Events, Rallies, & Races » Rocky Mountain Jamboree » 2008-09-04 16:08:16

The Jam is coordinated in Richfield Utah but rides go all the way out to Bryce
and Capitol Reef NPs.

www.atvjam.com  has all the details.

Lots of vendors adn they give away a boatload of stuff.
Organized rides, dinners etc.

#284 Re: Where to Ride? » Anyone with info on this ride?? Utah Paiute Trail » 2008-09-04 16:03:59

I wrote the book, literally.
Buy my "Paiute ATV Trail Guide" book at ATVUtah.com. I need gas money smile

The Paiute is a fantastic place to ride.
A few trails are 50 inches and under but thats about 1% of over 2,000 miles of trails
so its hard to complain.

The best place to start is in Marysvale, very centralized and you can ride in all directions
for days.

I am organizing an all UTV ride for an article I'm writing for Side X Side Action magazine.
Looking at Sept 16th during the Rocky Mountain ATV Jam.
If that works for you your welcome to join the fun.

Donnie,

Good question and if I could get the @#$%^& at the Dept of Public safety to return a phone call I would
give you an answer.   roll
