#271 Re: General Arctic Cat Prowler Discussion » AC tailgate cables » 2010-07-06 11:50:48

The cables that hold up my tailgate are way to long. It came that way. I looked at it and thought that maybe that i could shorten them so i could use it as a seat...ya know , set on the tailgate. Then i thought that maybe the plastic might not support the wieght of 2 adults setting on it. Am i over thinking it? can you buy cables that will allow the gate to hang level/ Help me out guys. Thanks , Dan

Personally before I built and installed the spare tire carrier for my Polaris ranger there was a few times that some people I know used my tailgate as a seat and I had to tell them to get the hell off because it was warping it real bad roll . Mine sits down like A normal truck tailgate and that seems to attract people to use it for A seat  . They are not built for all that weight and since yours sits in the down position I would leave it that way to prevent the temptation for others to use It as a seat   wink .

#274 Re: General Polaris Ranger and Polaris RZR Discussions » Sprague Carrier Failure » 2010-06-09 10:28:02

I think I will get one installed as to prevent a failure. Don't want to be the one breaking down...

Let me just note this: It is a lot less time consuming to do it before it comes apart. A lot less messy of a job as well.

With me It is a matter of available $$$$  roll . At this time things arent going all that well in arnolds state   .

#275 Re: Ranger and RZR Performance Mods » Original RZR Belt finally went out on me. » 2010-06-06 22:19:01

is the spacer for more low end like the Rhino washer/spacer?

It helps it engage a little faster and smoother. I don't run it because I run a wider belt otherwise I would install it with the stock belt.....

Good post Jared, I never could understand why it was plastic as well. I will contact you when I start having issues with mine but I do not anticipate any issues I hope for a while with mine. I also do not do anywhere near as much rock crawling as you do....

Is anyone going to the National ATV Jamboree the 21st-26th of June?  I'll be there Mon-Thur.  Camping at the Adelaide campground by Kanosh.

I would assume you are talking about Fillmore California :?:  :?:
If so, see if you can post information on it to get it some attention   wink .

Are you sure it is the differential?
I have noticed that the transmission belt engages at about 2,000 RPM. It’s kind of like having a high stall on an automatic transmission car. I don't like it, but it is normal.

On the other hand, I did have to replace a $400. Clutch because of "Heat" issues. It did make a bad Clunk when starting out. Apparently it had left noticeable wear marks on the clutch shaft. Make sure you get that checked before your warranty expires. I had to pay for it out of pocket.
They now have an “Updated design” with larger bearings.

Was the belt slipping excessively to cause this heat issue :?: and are you talking about the wear marks on the shaft that the sheaves slide on or was the marks on the sheaves themselves :?: .

#285 Re: General Polaris Ranger and Polaris RZR Discussions » RZR Winch setup » 2010-05-29 20:26:09

Same here I got a multi mount for my Rhino, works on the front or back. My winch rides on the front most of the time. lol
Best part about a multi mount winch is that if you get extension cables to your battery so you can chain your winch to another object (tree) incase you need to pull from the side. (rollover). Any auto parts store can order battery cables in any length.

If you keep getting more toys listed at the bottom of your post we will need to talk about you getting your own web site   lol  lol .
You forgot to list the JLG lift you have wink .
