#226 Re: The X Spot » help - not sure which to buy » 2010-06-02 07:14:53

need help.....not sure which to buy....prowler 1000 or rhino 700 or treyx 750.........any info bad or good would be great

i currently ride a can am 800 and i am going to trade it in for one of them, but not sure.....i am leaning towards the prowler because the cab seems to have more room in it....although i have not heard good thinhgs of the arctic cats in the past

i do seem to be a little rough on the all my machines....so i do need something that will hold up for the most part

thanks in advance

If you use it for more utility and these are your choices I would go with the Rhino. I am still sold on Yamaha's Rhino since I had used it for mud, rocks and snow and plenty of pulling with no drivetrain issues. Worse that happened was a broken steering system from my doing and a rebuild. I have had my Polaris RZR4 for 350 miles and the front sprague carrier which helps tote the 2000lb machine when loaded disolved, WHY DID POLARIS USE PLASTIC FOR THIS PART? You could wait and see the new CanAm side x side due out here soon too.

I will be gone until around 6 pm Saurday unless you want to go see my other family  . I will be at white sands north of the "t" near dave. Feel free to park by me and build me a fire for Saturday night. If you can stick around for the night.

I will be around the "t" at white sands unless dave wants to save me a spot at Oasis. I will not be able to ride until Saturday night due to a reunion in Delta, plan on staying until Monday.

OOOF! Is that the pink Ranger in top pic? How did that end?

He managed to put it to the base standing it on the rear cage. The extension kept straight but the Ranger cage needs replacement parts and the bed. He balanced it on the top there for a couple seconds before going back down. Everyone walked away is the main thing.

#230 Re: General Polaris Ranger and Polaris RZR Discussions » RZR4 in Moab » 2010-05-18 21:21:34

I enjoyed my Rzr4 for the same reason. The stuff I used to be intimidated to do with the Rhino didn't bother me in the 4. I would highly recommend Factoryutv UHMW complete skid plate since I did feel the underside hit on the ledges that could have been helped by cranking up the shocks. My next thing is 30" tires but there is only two options in a atv tire but have thought about a BFG Mud terrain 30" tire.

You would have a tough time giving me a Rhino again. big_smile

chournos, this might be an option too. I would offer him a thousand or less if he has it, might be desperate to sell after three weeks. http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad … at=&lpid=4

Check with Ken at steadmans in Tooele too.

#237 Re: Rhino Parts and Accessories » Stereo cover recommendations? » 2010-05-10 07:21:00

Hello friends..
I have a 05 Yamaha Rhino..! Bought it a few months ago from one of my friends. Last week I found a good deal on under dash stereo at http://www.dealrocker.com. I picked up one and installed in my Rhino, but the stereo has no coverage or protection from water, dust etc.. I am looking for a way to keep it dust and water free.

Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.

you can find marine stereo covers on eBay and about any audio web site. I personally use an iPod setup since I do not see a standard car stereo putting up to the shock from these machines. Another good option to this is sattelite radio if you are not in the trees.
