Well, life is a risk. I have to imagine that a large group of riders, traveling in a pack, with a few magazine people and maybe even some TV cameras staying in relatively nice places would be pretty safe.
I plan to invite Brian Fisher from Fishers ATV world. He had a bad experience in Mexico a while back with a flaky tour guide that literally left him stranded in the middle of nowhere down by copper canyon.
Not sure of a date.
Was thinking it might be cool to spend New Years Eve in cantina on Baja.
You guys have suggestions?
A few months ago some guys took a trip down Baja way and it was in Side x Side Action.
Anyone interested in making a trip like that?
Yup, just watching the snow pile up.
I'm trying to put one on my RZR.
Is that a true Geek move or what?
I saw hundreds of stock Rhinos there last year.
You won't get stuck, you will have a blast.
Merry Christmas to All!
Here is to a LOT more riding in 09.
FI you are ever wondering about the conditions in So Utah....
I check the Redcliffs lodge Webcam often for Moab conditions
http://www.redcliffslodge.com/webcam/
or the Moab Rim Campark webcam
http://moablive.com/webcam.asp
Or the Bryce Valley HS in Tropic, near Bryce Canyon
http://www.instacam.com/showcam.asp?id=TRPIC&size=S
Or the NOAA cam in Monticello
http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/slc/camera/sing … icello.php
Or this shot of the hunter plant and across the San Rafael Swell
I think thats the Airport symbol on Blue hills road making it look like I was going is circles.
Hanksville would be about half way. I'm going to check and see if we would be allowed to camp at Goblin Valley SP.
Can't imagine we would have problems. If not we could camp at the base of Temple Mountain.
I mentioned this trip in another thread.
This is the basic route. It appears to be around 300 miles.
I would like to do this in early spring but the high point of this trail is around 10,000 ft.
There are ways around this so I'm not concerned about snow stopping me.

You know the option here is to buy it for HER.
Put a huge bow on it and she will Love you!
Just north of 10 mile are two canyons that go down to the river.
We call them the tubes. Pretty much rock tubes.
Very narrow and difficult.
Been down them on ATVs, not sure a RZR will fit.
One of them has a name like Dead Cow wash.
In any case the BLM in their infinite wisdom made them off limits
to anyhitng but MCs in the RMP.
Jorgensons Honda in Richfield Utah has an unclaimed RZR S sitting on their lot.
Better move fast Badley.
BLM closed the Tubes to everything but MCs
We are trying ot get them re-opened to ATVs.
Pretty narrow for a RZR I think.
If a town has more than 7500 residents it can decide to restrict your access.
Vernal and St George apparently said no to ATVs.
