I have seen some things that are made for hunters, its like a second muffler it is supose to cut noise by half or better.
The only thing is I have no clue whats its called.
Ill look around and see if I can find it again online.

I plow my yard with a 08 700FI Rhino it does a great job, I use to plow with an older ATV, the Rhino does much better I dont find any need for tire chains and I have had no problems yet.
I also tow a 44 inch mower in the summer and it handles it well. I work the hell out of my Rhino and I dont have any complaints.

The question of what side x side to buy is a double edge knife. Polaris Rangers have a higher towing and weight capacity but I have seen what a Rhino can do and think their work limits are understated.

Its a "DIRTY" job but someone has to do it.

I'm not complaining either. Those things are side by sides too in my opinion. Note the side by side layout God created.

brandname racism.

Every UTV has its good and bad points and there is always going to be something to complain about regardless of manufacture   :!:  roll .

Thats the truth of it in a nutshell.

Has anyone tryed to put a small 12 volt fan under the seat to blow the heat out the back? Rhinos dont have a big problem with heat but I was going to try this next year when I tow my mower just to help the engine run a little cooler.
1254411441734299.jpg $25 Dimensions: 9 in. H x 7 in. W x 4.5 in. D
I have installed fans like this in some equipment and for the size they move alot of air.

Look into the new Polaris Ranger they have a high towing capacity and a bench seat like the mule. As far as rust, rhino line is good but it should be pro job or at least sprayed on in order to get it into small cracks and holes. It could also be repainted with heavy equipment paint and primer befor the rhino linner goes on. Other than that it would be some sort of oil base chemical like oil or grease but im sure no one wants to see an oil slick on the water.

I filled my Rhino frame with an oil/wax mix befor I ran it in the winter. the salt on Maine roads in the winter is just as bad a salt water.

Polaris RZR may be hard on belts but I got you all beat.  lol  My old 93 900cc Thunder Cat snowmachine can chew up 5 kevlar belts and blow them to pieces in a day. Clutches are all in line and everything is in good working order its all in the power.

This guy at Snowy Mountain Wintersports http://www.sidexsideforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=1589 who posted on this site had posted 50% off on Polaris parts but after several E-mails I sent to him for a quote he never sent a reply back so i am not sure how reliable he is at this point. I think the order will be going to babbits instead.

I have always had good luck with Babbits. One of the few paerts places I can get stuff for my 300EX online.

#192 Re: General Polaris Ranger and Polaris RZR Discussions » 2010 Ranger Crew » 2009-09-15 17:38:44

My only question is. How much bigger do side x sides have to get befor you ask your self, Is it a pick-up truck or a side x side?

lol  What would be interesting is gross vehicle weight comparison! I would bet the Tacaoma is 3500-4000/lbs and the Ranger Crew 1500/lbs - you can't tip the Tacoma back on all fours with a few guys (don't know what made me thinks of that  wink ).

Its obvious the weight will be alot different, there is alot more to a pick up. I was just going by over all size.
Toyota is 5250 lbs gross wt  -------- Ranger is 1495 dry wt
But if its just rolling one over I have never gotten in to a situation that i couldnt get out of with the use of a high lift jack.

Baretta makes a great gun they shoot very smooth  and 9mm is a good self defence round, as far as shooting a large animal with it, I am afrade your gonna come out of it worse than the animal, something like a wildcat/mountain cat you may have a 50/50 chance the noise alone may ward them off.
I had a Baretta 9mm for 12 years, it just didnt have very good range, my Sig 40 is double the range.I got some bird shot for my Sig 40 today damn raccoon keeps getting into my shed, the last one I shot with a slug made a big frigen mess, hope the bird shot doesnt do that.
