Hard to belive the government is
owned by the people but controled
by power and greed.
Welcome I dont know anything about the Joyner, noone sells them around here.
I love my Rhino, have had absolutely no problems with it, other than one flat tire (my fault) And I work the hell out of mine.
RZRs would be my second choice as long as I can keep the Rhino to.
I have test drove a Teryx but they seem to have a very touchy throttle other wise seem to be a good machine. but in my opinion the new hoods are hideous. ![]()
I was thinking again
for the number of great videos that are posted on here there should be some sort of video gallery.
So many of them get lost in old posts they are hard to find.
Sweet video
Looks like the Rhino took a beating
Great photo also Titan
.
I aim to please and try not to offend.
Id say get a RZR then. If you have questions about problems with the 2010 ask about them in the Polaris section of this forum.
140,000 sold last year and only 100 deaths since 2003, HUUMMM how many people died last year from cigarettes? How many people were raped, murdered or overdosed on illegal drugs? How many people were shot, stabed or run over by cars? Lets not worrie about the really bad stuff in the world but if one idiot doesnt use his seat belt in a side x side and goes out and blows a bunch of cookies in his driveway and ends up dead the rest of the world has to stop.
Id like to kick the head of the CPSC in the ballsack, maybe it will pop his head out of his ass. Just another fine example dumb ass politicians, law makers, reporters and otherwise clueless assholes messing with what so many people have died protecting this country for. FREEDOM. If I wanted to be told what is wright and wrong or what to buy and how to live Id move to North Korea.
AND THATS ALL I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT!
hi name's john new to the site. new to the utv world. lookin to purchase i have my eyes on the 2010 rzr-s but i am getting mixed signals about its reliability and i know alot of rhino owners so that doesnt help lol. any help would be appreciated
That question is going to be hard to get a good answer for, its a tug of war here. They are both great machines and it depends on what you are going to do with it. Trail ride, flat open ground, hunt, fish, haul extra gear, crash through the woods, mud, rock crawl, speed, work and the list goes on.
At some point I would like to get a RZR my self, but I love my Rhino and plan on running it into the ground or untill there are no more parts left in the world to fix it. If you like them both the same then my best advice is to flip a coin. As far as the 2010 RZR haveing trouble I dont know anything about it but Im sure its nothing polaris cant fix, from what I hear and read RZR has been a good dependable machine with no more problems than the rest of the side x side world.
Good luck with your choice and let us know what you end up with.
There have been a few times when I put in my locker and I was still moving (rolling) and the locker wouldnt lock up and it did the same thing. (rev limitter) I would stop reverse (back up) a foot or so then go back in to forward and it would lock in.
So you may just want to make sure it is locking in by stoping and backing up a little if that doesnt help, one other thing to try is with the engine off engage the lock and you should hear the actuator working in the front. it may be the actuator in the front diff is not working corectly.
The sputtering you get now is a safe gaurd for the front diff so that if the lock is not engaged fully and you stomp on the gas it wont damage gears that are not lined up properly yet. The sputtering reduces power to cut down on the torque. Its the same as the high speed rev limiter.
Ever see or use a Rancho suspension for a Rhino? It looks well built and Rancho has been building suspensions for trucks for years so I would think that they know what they are doing.
When the funds are available I would like to do something to my Rhino.
This is my setup if your interested.

A snowplow is the worst thing anyone can do to any vehicle including side x sides. When used with some respect they will last forever, unfortunately most people think that when they have a snowplow they also think they own a bulldozzer and treat it as such.
I would look very close to where the plow mounts to the machine for damage, scratched paint around the mount will tell you if they have hit something hard and the mounts were pushed back, If the bolts are bent or look new most likely they were replaced to hide something. If it is lifted by the winch look to see if the winch mount is bent down, alot of people pull the cable to tight and it will break the cable, winch mount or winch.
As for the rest of the machine I dont know much about Polaris.
I plowed all year last year with my Rhino and it is still like new, so dont let anyone tell you it is just wear and tear if it looks kinda beat up.
Looks like alot of hard work with a great pay off.
I have to ask how much is still stock and how much is new fab?
From the pics im thinking like 15% stock 85% fab.
I look out my window at a bone stock 700 Rhino with a snow plow and 3 inches of fresh snow
frozen to the seat and all of a sudden I feel sick to my stomach,
I need to move to the desert for winter. ![]()
epoxy filled heat shrink tube works well to.
get a rhino they love water

Some dry day got out and start the ranger, with it running spray some water on it, do it in small areas spary the back first and work your way forward, dont spry it all at once.
Spray a small area and go for a ride if its not bothering spray another area. sooner or later you will find the area that is efected by water and it will give you an idea of where the problem is.
