#136 Re: The X Spot » XXXOffroad TV Launch » 2009-04-12 11:58:22

Guys check this out.  XXXoffroad has launched an Online TV show.
All Offroad all the time.  Some of you will see yourselves.

XXXoffroad TV

You can tune in anytime, this streams 24x7 and the content is growing rapidly.
Footage from literally all over the world.  I just added some RZR riding from the
Sultanate of Oman.

The first live broadcast will be at the UTVRally in Moab.
My RZR S will have the live broadcasting platform on the rides.
As long as we can maintain a signal the poor suckers who stayed home can watch
us ride.

Initially this is a collection of video, hopefully assembled in an interesting way.

Eventually there will be a regular schedule and live coverage from lots of events.
We have over 45 contributing sources and we can cover your event live
as long as you have internet access.  We don't even have to be there, you can
do it.

If you have video or a live event you want covered send an email to TV@xxxoffroad.com
Just make sure you are not violating any music copyrights.

If you would like to embed this on your own site feel free.  Just click the "Embed"
button and it will give you the embed code.

I'll be there for the UTV Jamboree August 13-15.  Not sure I'll get there for the 24th of July.

I commented on that thread.

Are you planning a UTV class?

#140 Re: Where to Ride? » Utah OHV street legal information » 2009-03-27 08:25:16

Be careful, the law specifically prohibits you from any HWY with more than one lane in each direction.
Moab has briefed all of their officers so its only a matter of time before some LEO decides to enforce it.
Totally depends on the local attitude.

The new law also requires that you stay to the far right if the posted limits is OVER 45.
You cannot exceed 45 no matter what.

I was street legal in Moab last November.
I had no problems and rode all over town.

Even went from the Super8 to Hells Revenge, did a midnight ride, and rode back through
town at at 2am.  Moab is seriously deserted at 2am.

The only place you cannot ride is right down main street since it is four lanes.

This means that getting from in town to Gemini Bridge/Arches RV park is not possible
because the road is more than one lane each direction and no other route exists.

I recommend upping the insurance and then it might just have an accident.

The list of reciprocating states (on the street legal side) is not published yet.
Probably won't see that until after July 1.

Looking into my Crystal ball I see Cali letting UTVs be street legal in 20233455576777377277274712.
So you've got that going for you.

Moab might be able to issue special permits but the Arena for the rally is not inside city limits
so I think the permit would have to come from the county and the city would have to agree.

The kicker here is whether they let the Jeep Safari have such a permit.  If they do they can't deny the rally.

Utahs Govereor signed SB0022 yesterday.
This is an amendment to the existing Utah OHV law passed last year.

You can read it here: http://le.utah.gov/~2009/htmdoc/sbillhtm/SB0022S02.htm

It takes effect July 1.

highlights are:

Amber or Red turn signals.
Specific designation of utility vehicles (aka SxS)
Seat Height correction (RZR now ok)
Tires MUST not exceed 26 inches diameter
Requirement for MC license was removed BUT normal license is required.

Okay I had to take a week to respond.  My spies had to double verify this was real and not a spoof.

Badley I welcome you to the dark side.  But your transformation seems incomplete somehow.

You know what I mean.

Congrats on the new ride!!!

#149 Re: Events, Rallies, & Races » SideXSide Jamboree April 3-5 who's going? » 2009-03-25 11:05:13

Am I the only one that will be there?  I hate riding alone.

They are giving away a RZR.
