I went to do the safety inspection for my Ranger Crew this year to renew my registration and they said I need to have high beam headlines with a toggle from high to low beam.  Last year I didn't need the high beam with toggle.  Is this new?

thanks for your help,
Boyd

I went today and got it worked out.  It was pretty smooth at the DMV, but you have to "apply for a refund" for the registration they cancelled.  So i need to fax in the paperwork and they will send my my refund.  It was $116 for the registration today.

Thanks Brad.  I will give them a call.  It is an 08. Hopefully they can change it.

I just got my Polaris Ranger Street Legal in Utah.  When he did the registration he registered it as a light truck and gave me a full size license plate.  It cost me $177 for the registration and plates.  This was the first one he had done and wasn't quite sure how to do it.  I have seen others and they had a smaller motorcycle license plate.  Does my experience sound right?  Should it be classified as a light truck?  Do the fees sound right?

thanks,
Boyd

Awesome. Thanks Jared. I called the local Jiffy Lube in highland and they can do the inspection there.

Go with the Jawbone.  You can get it at Best Buy.  I have the first generation.  The second generation is smaller and still has great noise filtering.

Looks like you had a great time.  Where is the trail from Squaw peak to Hobble creek.  I have heard of people Mt. Biking there but didn't know you could ride a sidexside there.  I bet that would be a great ride.  Keep us posted.

We went back up to American Fork Canyon today.  We went to Cascade Springs.  It was a nice ride.  It was still really hot up there.  Lot's of great views up that canon.  Here is a pic.

This is a picture of my crew on the Crew overlooking Deer Creek.

We have a Ranger Crew.  Got it so we could haul the whole family around.  So far we really like it.  I haven't really pushed it to the max but what I have done it had no problem.  I ride up American Fork canyon in Utah a lot and it has done fine going up to Forest Lake and the Grave but they are not super technical.  Haven't taken it in sand yet.  If your looking for something sporty this is not the way to go.  If you want to haul people and gear I would recommend it.

Redman,

I live in Highland in Utah county.  It is over 7500 people so that means UTVs won't be street legal here.  correct?  Can cities decide on their own or if they are over 7500 people are they automatically not street legal.
