Well I have a Polaris 800XP I am looking to get the set of 28" ITP Bajacross Tires. I am getting ready to install the UHMW to the bottom of the machine. I am having the roll case extended to the bed. I will remove the windshield when we get ready in April. I figured there would be no reason to bust out a glass if something was to happen. The machine is a little boxey so not sure how well it will do.
I thought that you might be able to but wasn't for sure. I sure do appreciate all the information.
So I wonder, because I have already signed up for those trails, if I might be able to change any of those once I get out there?
I got my UHMW to put on my skid plate. I figured I can just take off my skidplate get it in the shop lay it on top of the UHMW trace it out and cut it. Then I will take and counter sink flat head bolts into the UHMW to the skidplate the UHMW I have is 1/4" thick. I figured this should get me through the four days out there.. I am taking it that this will allow for me to slide off of the rocks a little eaiser? Great Idea. Thanks Badly.
Now, I am just wondering if they ever returned to Missouri with that big ol smile there at the end. lol
Yep hope to meet alot of good folks.
My wife and I are really excited about the trip.
I hope I picked out all the good rides for the beginner. I ride all the time but have not been on huge rocks or sand much. I chose the following for the four days.
Wednesday - Chicken Corners
Thursday - Kane Creek
Friday - Porcupine Rim
Saturday - Picture Frame Arch
Just wondering if there were any other Missouri people going to the Rally on the Rocks n May.
Well I have a new 2010 and it is great. I use it for light stuff around the house, hunting and just ridding the country roads. I thinkk it is a great machine but have not had it lon,g so maybe I just dont know enough about it yet. But so far I really like it. 53 mph on any gravel road is fast enough for me. Try them all out before buying. Well I know this did not help much but good luck.
Well got the hotel and registered for the rally. Thanks for the information. I am look toward to the ride.
This seems to be a great place to get started out on the sxs. I am thinking about singing up for the" Rally on the Rocks". Is this a good Rally to go to? Would my Polaris 800efi xp be ok to take to this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I live in Missouri. Wondering about the heat would I need any type of modifications to my machine. Looking to add a lift and tires and wheels. What type of tires are good for the location? Thanks for any help in advance. One last thing what Hotel is the best to stay at in Moab so I dont have to trailer all the time?
