#826 Re: General Discussion about Yamaha Rhinos » Rhino Recall » 2009-05-01 11:02:11

Just wondering how much you guys make on your paper routes. Must be quite a bit if you can afford a sxs. Cause the way your acting I would figure your around 16 years old.

Well, "Johnny come lately" er WarriorRider (er John??), we have had this discussion every year since the death of John's daughter and it has not always been so sarcastic. But, it is getting OLD going over the same things repeatedly. We all feel bad for John and hope he finds some peace. Since you are so mature and knowledgable maybe you can explain to us infants about the money trail. Are you saying John is only doing this for the good of the industry? If a settlement is reached and it only about changing design or adding safety equipment, fine - I will believe it is a righteous crusade. You want to prove to me that there is no monetary gain?

My Rhino had warning stickers everywhere... My RZR has more warning stickers than paint  roll I assume we will be getting even more warning stickers...

The net idea is a good one - especially if young children are riding. A good harness is the first priority. The RZR comes with safety nets, but they are too close the steering wheel and a lot of people are removing them.

They were a sponser at last years UTV Rally... will they be there this year? Chris/Kyle?

#828 Re: The X Spot » RUTHLESS MOTOR SPORTS » 2009-04-29 11:15:00

I would like some. Do they have high/low beams like the stock lights?

No. I used them on my rhino. I aim them a little low (they are bright) and use my Fuego HID's for high beams  8)

#829 Re: The X Spot » Forklift Value? » 2009-04-29 11:12:17

Very good info Titan. I would add Mitsubishi to the list  - one of my favs. We run Cat (extended lift), Clark (standard) and Komatsu (front end loaders with forks - they seem to have the most troubles but have a heavy work load).

Don't know much about the Rancho kit, but I would buy based on looks alone  8)

#834 Re: Ranger and RZR Photo Gallery » RZR S Stereo and Bumper » 2009-04-27 12:56:03

Thats a sharp lookin RZR. (no pun intended) looks great without all the stock stickers.

Thanks. It has been completely de-stickered  tongue  Except the RZR S on the seats and rear quarters (although I did score the sticker with a razor knife - no pun  roll  - and removed the little "Ranger" above the "RZR S". I think it looks cleaner that way)

Fasttrax/Brad777 - I would love to ride this weekend, but Jared (Ruthless Motorsports) is bringing more parts this week (HID replacements, Simpson Harnesses, Roof, and trailer stuff.) that I hope to install. This will be the last weekend to ride before Moab (UTV Rally) - the next weekend I will need to get everything ready to go as we leave the following Tuesday big_smile  8)   big_smile  We could take a quick ride up West Mountain and then Jamb on my trailer  lol

Kyle - "Pretty" ???  lol  I was hoping for "Handsome"  wink

I installed my stereo (UTV Concepts) and front bumper - added a couple 4" HID's.

1240797351768514.jpg
Fits nice! Self contained - amp/speakers. Will have to go with a fabric roof.

1240797715345325.jpg
Lost a little front vision because I had to lower Axia mirror, but it is still a decent view.

1240797783401468.jpg
U-Bolts were a tight fit and I had to sit on the box to compress mounting foam enough to start bolts.

1240797926327600.jpg
Routed the wiring through the front (drivers side) roll cage rather than tie wrap on the surface of the cage as instructions suggested. I did have to cut power and signal cable end off  to "fish" the cable through.

1240798135660857.jpg
Brought the wiring out just above windshield mount and then through the body with the roll cage. Power cable had a nice nylon sheath wrap - signal wire had none  :?

1240798386738679.jpg
Has a very nice full range sound. Not the most powerful system, but it is self contained and out of the way.

1240798730620168.jpg
This is the aluminum Polaris bumper. They forgot the mounting hardware in the box - self tapping bolts. I use hardened bolts and lock nuts from the hardware store- probably better than the Polaris way. The fit was very nice and welds are perfect.

1240798772504076.jpg
I had trouble deciding on a bumber. The Polaris have a weird angle on the ends, you would think it would follow the lines of the machine better roll The aluminum has much better lines than the black they offer. Big plus - it weighs 9.5lbs.

So, what do you think?

Thanks for all the cool parts Jared (Ruthless Motorsports)  big_smile

Thanks - great info guys. I like the mounts Shanon, looks like it would be easy to move for various perspectives. So these two mounts would be all I need to mount the lense? The stud on the Manfrotto will fit the SLIK? Do you use the RAM Power Grip for the controller?

#837 Re: Ranger and RZR Photo Gallery » The "Dark Side" » 2009-04-23 10:16:34

If Johnsand will keep out of the UTV scene it COULD happen! I wouldn't doubt this recall is the reason for the delay, or they could be adding a more sportier hopped up two seater to compete with that brokeback utility vehicle....HA HA HA! lol

oh man! You are stirring them up now!!  lol

Lissssten up guyssss... I am not gay   yikes   (damn lisp  :? )

#838 Re: Ranger and RZR Photo Gallery » The "Dark Side" » 2009-04-23 10:13:03

Check the skull and cross bones.
Plaform Sneaks

  Great for the RZR S heel pocket - perfect accelerator control  lol
