Remember when you change pipes and mufflers you may need to purchase a fuel controller module because you could start to run your unit lean, I would look into the exhaust from www.bikemanperformance.com , It flows good and it is not as loud as others.
Thanks Ranger Dale. For the clip, would a pair of C-clip pliers work? Also, where would you buy the Puller?
The access to the two sheeves is very easy and accessible....that won't be the problem. I'm just thinking if I do this one time, is it worth buying the specialty tools or just have a local pro do the work?
THX
I got my puller from EPI and it is part number PCP-12, you may be able to do the primary clutch without removeing it, it just makes it a lot more easy, they also sell a compression tool for the driven clutch and it is part number CCT510 but i think one can be made much more easily for the cost, you will need the C-clip pliers as well as a small torque wrench, The RZR kit should come with a Helix depending on the kit also, also remember the RZR driven clutch is a little more involved then the XP's system but still is rather easy to do. as for the cost for the shop to do it that is up to you, they may charge a couple hundred dollars in labor plus parts. I believe to know your machine is to do the work your self, but that all depends on how mechanically skilled you are also.
It is really easy to do at least on a Ranger xp, Not sure on the rzr because of the way the engine is installed, If you have free access to the primary and secondary clutch cover it will go real easy, i do not remember what may be in the way on that unit but it has the same parts, You will need a puller for the primary clutch if you remove it, The secondary just slips off but may needs a compression device to help pull the locking clip off and to re install it, you could make one easy but i had something i use for transmission overhauls that worked for me, all in all i could do a ranger Xp in less then an hour and is really well worth it. I can give you more detailed info when you are ready and you tell me what kit you go with. remember when ordering one you need to look at what elevations you run most and tire size, this is very important :!: ![]()
I am new to the RZR world and pretty new to this forum. I had the
same question about stability. I just bought my RZR yeserday and love it.
It is alot more tippy than I thought.
Yep, that is what i thought when riding around in my friends RZR when he bought his, I had that same felling with my friends Rhinos stock set up as well, Maybe next year I will pick up a RZR-s to keep with old blue next year
, we will see :?:, And good luck with the new rig also.
You are welcome on the information, Remember, good service is what determines if you drive back to camp or get towed back, I prefer to tow someone else back with a smile on my face :!:
.
Looks like there is a step forward in the right direction in getting this bail out on track, any new news on offers for your Polaris. and also i need a slogan like yours, How about second place is the first loser, OR, lead, follow, or get out of the way like Richard petty use to say, all from Nascar as you would expect.
:?: .
This is a decision you need to make by your self, It would probably take a few years to push a class action law suit threw the court system the way the legal system works but this is what makes the manufactures stay honest and makes them fix there issues, If it was me I would do it because there are people that will not get covered on this problem and i would hate to see that happen. it really is up to you and maybe the class action law suit is what pushed Polaris to fix your problem, I am really glade to see that it is working out for you now and hope other people will have there issues fixed as well, that is all i could hope for :!:
.
Now you could ride with confidence that everything is good, Keep up on the maintenance and you machine will treat you good and get you there when everyone is broken down, Maybe even tow one of them in with a smile on your face:D ![]()
Just incase you need the part numbers they are made by EPI and the number is WE321500 for the rear, they are 250# preload springs. also the fronts are a tiny bit heavyer then the polaris springs and they are WE320020 at 145# verses 144#.
Remember they sell a heavy duty spring set for the rear as well and that will really help with carrying loads in the bed, They are a lot easier to install then the front was and i think it would be worth your time to do it as well.
you are welcome and that was a cleaver way to do it buy pulling the spring through the bottom while the shock is pulled to the top, Most people normally do it when the strut is out of the vehicle, this is good info, If you do the 2 inch lift you must realign the front end when completed. you need to remember that as well.
Everyone just does not want to part with money at this point, I know people selling there stuff and the trailers at this point because they just cant afford to go or keep it, The r.v. markets are getting killed and some are going under because of sales, it is really bad out there, I sure hope it will start to turn around next year but not looking good this year

I have not seen one yet but heard it will not win a beauty contest, I am sure it will be built well like other Honda products and runs a modified Honda XR 650 motor and runs a real transmission with a torque converter which i think could be a major step ahead of the most if it is true, but none of above has been confirmed as of yet.
Plain and simple: As parents we are responsible for our children. I have 2 boys 15 and 12. Ever since we have had atvs, (about 10 years) it has been drilled in thier heads they are not to even sit on an atv/utv without a helmet on, must less ride on one. They know if there's no helmet then there's no ride, NO EXCEPTIONS!! WE are responsible for our own actions...so don't point fingers!
You are completely right, I have see to many kids way under 16 and even 10 year old's running around with these machines without adult supervision driving like they stole the machine, If this continues they will make more laws and may also ban these machines so no one can use them, That is just a fact people :!: :!:
I would assume all went well or you gave up, Let us know :?:
