Keep an eye out for me... I might have to take you up on that. You usually can't sleep anyway but I do worry about the wife and kids enjoying it.

Fasttrax...
I am not sure if there will be a spot left.  Come camp with us.  Our camp is not crazy.... no one parties like all the other crazies in our camp.  We normally camp in the back far east corner of Sand Mountain.  Everyone will be right there!  You know your missing out if you dont.  So...just come!

I agree with Josh! Ya know you wanna come.....   tongue   tongue

I am trying to leave Thursday night or early Friday morning. If I can't find a place at white sands I will be looking for you there. Keep an eye out for my truck and raptor toy hauler. big_smile

think I could find a spot at white sands if I left thursday night or Friday morning? Don't want to battle the mountain with kids.

We are heading out to LS Utah for Easter as usual!!!  big_smile  I will be arriving on Friday morningish and staying untill Sunday night.

Who all is going and when are you showing up?

Another year without me there  . I miss the group that we had that would go out. Now I can't take my outfit to far off-road due to the fifth wheel being close tolerance to the top of the bed. We might try next weekend pending on the weather.

Plastic would be a good idea too if they have them. It has been years since i have looked at a enclosed trailers options. As far as the UTV rally I think i am going to scope it out on another run to avoid the large crowd and also not knowing how Moab is set up for RV's. I think you need a pole in there like KBR has. lol

#771 Re: The X Spot » NEW TRAILER! » 2008-03-12 08:42:37

I would try and get either metal cabinets or have them made out of 3/4" baltic birch ply. I believe that ply is 15 ply thick, very stong for the jolting it will be going through. It will be half the weight of of particle board and three or four stronger than regular ply. You could put laminate in your colors on them too. let me know if you need help in that department.  wink

Jared, still waiting to show everyone my awesome crash...when you get a minute.

#773 Re: The X Spot » Street legal ATV tire options » 2008-03-07 10:27:34

I was close... I had all the tires, signals, horn, etc. to go legal. Called my UHP contact and he said that as long as the manufacture lists them as off-road only that is where they will stay.  :? I think this could be contested if we all banded together we may convince them otherwise :?: . I would love to be able to boogie down to Wendys or for lawn mower gas without paying 3.60 a gallon for diesel big_smile . Besides, I would feel safer in a rhino then a 50cc moped that is somehow allowed on the road.

That's what I need...to spot out the terrain and campgrounds so I would know if my wife would enjoy it. I would be game for an earlier weekend too if we can plan about two weeks out.

post a pic of your ride, sounds like a money pit like the rest of us. I have only been on one trip with the group rhinoing but they know how to have fun. Keep in touch with the posts, and meet us for a ride sometime.
It would be my first trip to Moab since I was way young...can't even remember it. I am avoiding the crowd and would be interested in a smaller group ride.

#778 Re: General Discussion about Yamaha Rhinos » rhino 450 v.s. 660 » 2008-03-02 14:05:10

I feel the rhino does well plowing due to weight and size. When it comes to speed, engine displacement in a particular machine has its advantage. However, the small cc's can develope impressive torque for low range travel.
If I was grandpa I could settle for a 450, however wanting an all around machine for climbing, sand, and snow removal I love my 660. Yamaha has created a well designed machine for any application stock for which ever you choose. wink

So how did the air intake work Brad? ready to start selling the kit?

#780 Re: For Sale & Want Ads » HID Lights » 2008-03-02 12:06:24

Count me in on a set of HIDs. I could possibly grab them this next week in my travels unless you want to bring them on the next ride.... let me know.
