I could not afford to buy a rzr or rhino so i decided to go with the clone of the rzr... i am having problems with the machine starting... i believe it is the fuel pump relay.. When i turn the key on i don't hear a buzzing noise like i use to... and when i try to turn it over it just cranks like its not get any fuel... I was wondering if there is a way to test the fuel pump relay... I've been waiting on the relay for almost 1.5 months right now i was wondering if i could do something else ... like get a new relay male/female end and use it ... not an electrical guy... thanks for any help aaron streets
Can you post some pictures of the relay so I can see what you have. I need any writing on it and a good picture of the pins....
This was a lot of work due to it was a PDF and this site will not do PDf but hope it helps

it's like a ghost town. no body is active. hello.. I need help please? kindly pm me if you resolve it already coz I'm really having a hard time here. thanks
What do you need to know :?: His problem was taken care of several years ago. Also you never asked a question other then you were going to replace a fuel pump :?: This really is not an acura forum but we may be able to answer your questions ![]()
Hi, I know you got your problem fixed but I wanted to share something that happened to me. I was having trouble starting and keeping my 06 660 running. My friend put on a new carb and electric fuel pump. It would start but it pumped fuel out the overflow on the carb. I put a regulator on and set at lowest setting. It still pumped fuel out all over. I then took it to the local motorcycle shop and they put a stock carb on and got rid of the electric fuel pump. It runs good now. Just thought I would share, this was a costly fix, and ended up stock again. [font=Comic Sans MS:368db32e5b] [/font:368db32e5b]
There is more to do then adding a fuel regulator that needs to be done. The rhino fuel pump is very low pressure and most fuel regulators will not dial down that far unless it is a very good one. We are looking around 1 maybe 2 psi max so the other thing that would need to be done is setting the float adjustment so there would be more seat pressure. It is a trial and error job till the proper adjustment is achieved ![]()
what brand tires are they?
It is an old post but they would be super swampers
.
Just another example of how things have changed in the UTV world. Rhino's used to be the top dog, and where ever you went you saw 10 Rhinos for every other side by side you saw. Now you see at least that many Rzr's for every Rhino. At the recent "King of the Mountain" UTV race, which is an endurance race that includes tight woods, hillclimbs, mud, and other obstacles, there were 19 UTVs that entered the race and 18 out of 19 were Rzr's. I know this is a racing venue, and you were not interested in racing, but this is what I am seeing everywhere, including the dunes and the trails. Pretty much everyone has gotten away from the Rhino. Unfortunately, this is a market that Yamaha owned, but has let it be taken away from them.
As for the Big Red transmission, it is the same engine and transmission as in the Honda Rincon. The transmission is a three speed automatic transmission that is geared too tall for the Rincon. I don't see how it would work any better on an even heavier vehicle like the Big Red. I cant imagine a big UTV that is geared too tall, and has no low range, could work very well at plowing snow, or any kind of work for that matter.
I would not really consider the rhino the top dog back in 2004 or 2005. They were $1500 cheaper then the Rangers but Stock power and suspension along with Top speed was always better then the Rhino back then. Even the 2004 Ranger 500 had a top speed of 44 then. I think why there were more Rhinos was because of price and the Yamaha name.
I looked real hard at the Rhino and the Ranger Xp in 2005 and every spec on paper was better then the Rhino 660 in every way and it was not even EFI till 2007 when the 700 came out. My friend bought his Rhino limited 660 a few months latter and had to put a bunch of money just to match my speed after I gave him a big spanking on a long ride. A year after he bought it I asked why he bought the Rhino instead of the Ranger Xp and his reply was it was a lot cheaper and now he would have bought the Ranger instead. I also drove his and gone on long rides with him and was never impressed with the ride quality or the stability.
I like the RZR's and would consider the new Rzr 900xp but it would not suit my needs on how I use my Ranger Xp. The future replacement for my 2005 would be another Ranger Xp because mine is used 50% for play and 50% for hauling stuff around and doing work on a friends 240 acre property.....
Another thing I have considered was putting $4,000 into a rebuild and update to the one I have now. There are things I like better on the 2005 and 2006 models in comparison to the new ones like the 2 piece rear end and transmission and the lay out of the storage system. The newer ones have no under hood storage....
Not sure about the Honda trans. I agree about the Rhino, especially the trans 3TV - I do miss it, although I went with a Dirty Dawg Clutch on my RZR S and the wife's 4 and it makes a huge difference. I set it up for crawling - it engages much smoother and at a lower RPM, and I can engine brake almost to a stop.
Another Happy Dirty Dawg Customer
. I just wished he would find a new guy to Redo his website and make it more like his old one was

I think all SidexSides are belt driven and if the belt gets wet the will slip. A lot of Southerners snorkel their CVT and intake so they can submarine
I think the Honda Big Red is Automatic :?: ....
I am looking for a good stereo to put in my 2011 Ranger. Suggestions? What does everyone have in theirs? :?:
Hello full auto. I never really did one in mine but installed some in a few others. I bought the radios through west marine and were marine rated radios. They can handle getting wet and also sell all weather kits to install conventional radios as well....
I have an 06 Ranger 500 EFI. Last fall I took it Elk hunting in Wyoming. It would run for about 20 minutes then die when I stopped. It would not start again for 20-30 minutes. It did this over and over. I drained the tank and replaced with fresh gas. I pulled and cleaned the plug, it did have spark. I pulled the fuel line and it was pushing fuel.
Now it will only run for about 6-7 minutes and takes a good 20 minutes to restart.
Now I am getting ready for my elk trip and would like it to run properly. I don't like getting stranded in the mountains of Wyoming LOL.Any idea what the problem could be?
Thank you for your help,
Kevin
Kevin, It still may be a fuel pump issue. You need to hook a gage to it when the problem happens and see what the pressure is. Electric pumps can be erratic and work one minute and not the next. On the 700s it is around 29 psi running but not sure on the 500 motors but should be about the same. Once you have confirmed that the fuel pump is good we can go from there....
Great! I've blocked 5 IP's this afternoon on a site that I'm an administer on.
I just removed 10 dead users. for every one that gets through 10 try and fail. If you ever see any again PM me and say spam and I will try to get to it asap.....
One thing, I would not trust this setup on 95% of all the class "A" or class "C" motor home frames. It is really amazing on how weak they build the back of motor homes and seen frames bend and way to many motor homes with permanent sagging ass ends from pulling enclosed race car trailers. Now this being a true bus chassis, this maybe OK but still, that is a lot of weight hanging there
