How big are your tires? If it's your sticky mud I would look at a heavier clutch kit and belt to put in it. Mine used to bog down while plowing and took a lot of torque to get it moving in heavy wet snow, with the clutch kit it rolls with throttle response and the larger tires.
I see many with the Bighorns, probably more popular than any other tire. I have Terracrosses on mine and have been pleased, but I did get a screamin' deal on them too. All of them tend to run taller than normal, a 26" is going to be around 27" tall.
I have some sounds too. I question if it's not aftermarket pads that cause it. The replacements could be grabing harder than stock. I have researched this since it has come up with mine and the only other is torque related to the mounting itself. I believe the aftermarket is more understandable.
I think we need a subject for "local rides" and break it down by state. Us here in Utah has many topics on group rides that could easily be consolidated. You have done well with the forum compared to others Mark, Thanks! ![]()
It's great for searching for info. If you only want the most recent posts look at the dates or the top posts, I refer to many of these that are up to a year old.
Hey Brad you kinda went to far past utah lake...a little further north. Thanks for coming up for the party, it was a big surprise!
Sorry guys...Yard care and a piano recital. ![]()
I give all these idiot attorneys bad comments on their youtube websites. The instructions and safety warnings ae clearly posted on my rhino and I am the retard if I end up dead. Unless it blows up for no reason or the throttle sticks and I go off a cliff there is no law suits in my book.
Have to see how much mulch I can move Friday night and a party saturday night. Possibly game for early riding saturday, let me know!
Hey Brad, just relive the experience of Pink Floyd....IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE?
I have done it myself a time or two....
I have had both the venom 3000 and now a venom 4500 lb. winch. Retrieved alot with the 3000 but lacked holding a large plow up with 50 feet of cable using the first three feet. I went to the larger one and never had a problem and their customer service is excellent. I would recommend them for the price, two for the price of one if needed. I did use a different monetary switch in my dash and also have the remote. Venom.com
AWESOME! Lets do it again next year. I wish I could of had those sleds for the other two rides of the year.
Plow is off for the season. I use my winch to raise and lower and the turning of the blade is controlled by a manual bar you have to adjust. Due to size of the blade American and other manufactures do not put electric actuators to turn the blade. Only on ATV's. The mount itself is attached to the front bumper with a large mounting plate with two 5/8" bolts or pins for quick removal of the blade. Watch RM for a Joyner kit.
here is a plow pic on a rhino. Rocky mountain atv dozer plow with a 4500Lb. venom winch.
Gee...it looks like I planned good.
Another windy trip avoided. I hope it wasn't as bad as it was up north anyway.
