#601 Re: General Polaris Ranger and Polaris RZR Discussions » REGARDING ME AND A REALY GOOD FRIEND, » 2009-06-12 16:32:32

It will be a year in November and we do have our suspicions on who did it but no hard prof. We had a neighbor that is a L.A. county sheriff that we talked to about what happened and he said he would do a little looking around but nothing came out of it and there is still no direction to go on. My other so called friend or neighbor who knows the people involved much better then we do was going to confront them on this but at the end I guess he chose not too and decided not get involved. I do think he knows more then he has let on about what happened and maybe he did talk to them but he is not telling me anything, I think he is hoping it will blow over. As of now I am not as friendly with that neighbor as i was in the past due to this issue and over a few other issues over the years he has caused. He has been somewhat of a problem in the past. As for the suspected cat killers, there has not been any more since a few weeks after Dusty's death and we may never know the whole truth. I just know that i will never forget who did it and the people that did not help.........  :!: .

I gave it a lot of thought but decided to do my 300th post in honor of my cat dusty, I still see you in the yard out of the corner of my eye and then I look and you are not there, I think of you daily and the pictures around the house remind me of the good times we had. You will always be missed.

Your Father and friend

Interesting product but with the bar in place it looks like you can't tilt the bed up and down on a full size ranger without moving or removing it all together :?:, is that true :?: .

It is funny but true here in California, I just bought a chainsaw 4 months ago and it was a California CARB compliant saw and it has a catalytic converter on it, all outdoor equipment sold after 2007 has to meet this standard and he signed it into law, He also signed into law that is to take place in 2010 or 2011 that diesel trucks and cars will need to go through a smog inspection, as of now i do not have the details yet. I do know he either has signed into law or is looking at singing in to law to have all diesel trucks and farm equipment and construction equipment to be retro fitted with catalitic converters by 2025 or they will have to be junked or removed from service.

what is arnold?

The terminator!!!!. Governor of California!!!. Going to try to run for senator after his term is up!!!. The Future Nancy Pelosi from California.....

ROFL - Arnold tax! 9.25%   You poor Cali dwellers are getting raped   P.S. Stop moving to UT  wink

I voted for Arnold to get rid of the worst governor we ever had and he was the great gray Davis and now wounder if it was worth while roll . Since he has been in office he has increased government spending 7% per year while in office and now doubled the vehicle registration which he said he would never do roll, this is what he was he was voted in for. He also put catalytic converters on our lawnmowers  roll . Anyway you guys in Utah would only be getting the best of the best from here as in people lol . There is still 25% of the people here that think he is doing a good job lol . Remember he wants to run for senate so watch out after his term is up  . Anyway enough with the political stuff  .

#610 Re: General Polaris Ranger and Polaris RZR Discussions » RZR 800 backfires » 2009-06-08 13:29:25

They are around $125 and yes it would effect the way it runs at any RPM and or load. the computer is a very basic piece of equipment compared to one that a automobile would use and it does not monitor the exhaust so it will not always trip the light. it does not care what comes out the tail pipe to cause a warning, there is no O2 sensor. there is several posting on the TPS sensor on this forum and what to do also and the same with the Tmap/Tbap sensor service. the TPS sensor is on the side of the throttle body and there is a procedure for the replacement.

#611 Re: General Polaris Ranger and Polaris RZR Discussions » RZR 800 backfires » 2009-06-07 21:47:49

If it is all stock and no modifications it sound like a out of spec TPS sensor, the backfire would be unburnt gas in the exhaust because of a rich condition, If it is new take it back to the dealer and have it fixed.

#612 Re: General Polaris Ranger and Polaris RZR Discussions » 2009 XP Price » 2009-06-06 23:33:34

$10.800 for the standard XP and $11.400 for the XP LE version plus the new Arnold tax of 9.25% and the new Arnold registration that doubled as of last year.

Go to bikeman and dirtydawg performance for any mods because they know what they are doing on this engine, Talk to them first before you do anything because they have tried it already, there is one guy that has used them on this site for the same engine and was very satisfied with the results and you can PM him if needed.

Well Paul it sounds like you will need to pull the engine and tear it down to find out , there is no way of knowing what is down there and it should be done before any more damage is done :!: . If there is no metal in the oil it would not be bearings. It could be the wrest pin or other broken parts or something foreign that got in there. Even a broken crank or piston. Never less it will need to be taken apart to find out how bad it is sad  :!: .
