One way or another we will get you to Moab! Glad that you are ok!
If I have to I'll sleep in my work van and use the showers...assuming OK rv has showers
I was planning on leaving Monday 9th afternoon or Tuesday 10th but may not make it at all after today. My short story is truck is at the dealership after almost using it as a plow from "diesel runaway scenerio"
If you are stuck on a rhino I would go with the 700. The fuel injection saves alot of headaches over carburated and more horse power to pull the weight. I could never keep a carburated 660 running right and was very discouraged in the loose bolts on the center bearing carrier, almost costed me a engine case but found on the rebuild. If you only need torque and not speed you can look at a 450 as well. Lookup "rhino truck pull" on youtube for proof. ![]()
Sometimes after I have been riding and once I shut my ranger off when I go to start it back up, it is running very sickly. No power, RPMS very low and speratic. Kind of like the brake is on and your trying to drive, but not exactly. Then once I shut the ranger off and immediatley start it back up most of the time it fixes the problem. Sometimes I may have to shut it off and start it back twice. Any ideas???
Know of anyone with the same model? Swap out the CDI and see if that corrects it.
We had another awesome day on the trail! Trails ran today by those of us down here include: Hells Revenge, Steel Bender & Moab Rim.
Only had one tipover on Hells Gate and it was not me! lol
Did they make it to the bottom safe? Where is a photo shot? New ruthless ad?
I wish I was going. I will definetely be there for the week of the rally. Karen is planning it as well.
Are these continuous loops, no hauling? I would consider coming up and seeing more of that country as well. I haven't had the time to fully map out and check any down here so it would take some planning. I think we should try and set a weekend that works in august or so and do it. ![]()
check with Ruthlessmotorsports.com I think he has a good kit in stock right now. ![]()
I actually started plotting one out that would go from Mt. Pleasant to I-70 and back, a continuous loop. It has been a dream of mine for many years but never conquered. Everyone chime in if your interested, you need to know the trail well enough to keep us out of the ATV 50" limit trails.
What ever happened with Shannon's idea?
After tinkering for a few years with my 660 the air is a fraction of the gains you can achieve. One of my best gains I ever did was a roller weight kit for the clutch from Hunterworks. After messing with sheaves, weights and springs the best mod was a weird shaped weights with the stock sheave.
My personal opinion is leave the dustvac (aircleaner) alone unless you use a very good outerwear on it. invest the money into a good clutch kit instead.
Kelsie wants a beach and a day at knotts berry. Another nice driving weekend.
I'm not sure yet... Daughter talked me into going to California over Easter and that put a spin on things a bit. Moab, California, Moab, Marysvale makes a very busy and expensive two months. Only 4 1/2 weeks of work too. ![]()
I need to decide on the same. Trailer could get costly to pull down pending on where we stay vs hotel. We could make a great dutch oven too!
Simply change the rear set of brake pads. They get glazed over from constant use or forgetting that little pesky brake lever being left on. Seams lime I went through two sets a year with my old rhino.
I would use mine more if Salt lake county allowed it. It's very convenient if you like to take long rides involving some paved roads to connect.
