Did I tell you I collect machine guns as a hobby? Real ones. I also made a calendar a few years ago. Had some really great models. Have some really great shots, showing a little more then these gals.

I have a nice JVC digital camcorder. Only problem is, after about 30 seconds of the RZR vibration, it shuts off. It's too much for the camera.
Piss.
I had built a real nice, and only cost about $5, mount. I may try my buddies camera. It is an older JVC with tapes. mine records direct to harddrive.

Love the sound from the speakers. Was pretty easy to put in, for someone who never did it before. I only wish they would make the IPOD mount so it would fit on the back of the shift console. Very easy to do if they would do it. That and add about 6" of volume cable and it's ready. I highly recommend the Mammoth Sounds.

what type of camera setup do you have? I'm looking to install something on my RZr when I go out and play.

Here's a couple pics of my RZR before I put the Mammoth Sounds system in. It is basiclly stock except for the soft top, bumpers, the RZR-S wheels, and the 1/2 windshield and the stick on flames.

Does anybody have a video camera mounted in their RZR? If so, what type and what type of camera do you use? i want to get some good video of some of the riding I do, you know woods, hills, mud, chasing furry animals that sort of stuff.

Just put in a Mammoth sound system on my '08 RZR. Very sweet sounds. I only wish they would make the IPOD mount so it would fit on the back of the shift console. Very easy to do if they would do it. That and add about 6" of volume cable and it's ready. But anyway, I'll post some pics later on.
I highly recommend the Mammoth Sounds.

I hauled my RZR in the back of my extended cab Z71 and pulled a 16ft heavy duty trailer last fall. I had the tailgate down to catch the back of the RZR and had the Ranger XP on the trailer. Needed an 18ft trailer to haul the RZR & XP at the same time.

I really hate to hear that. I know exactly how you feel. I lost my "son" 3 years ago. He was with me for 18 years. Through thick and thin. He has a very nice maintained grave under the Magnolia tree in the back yard. Chester was a good companion. Better friend then most people. And acted more like a person then alot of people. I still think about having him cloned.
Sorry for the loss.
Chester:

Mike here in Indiana. I have a '08 Gen 1 RZR with a couple of mods. I run it around my small town some and have a farm in Kentucky that I ride on alot. A buddy has the '07 700 XP and that got me to buy a RZR. Would really like a XP, but I like the 800 power. Have a couple questions about a battery modification. See my other post about that.
Oh, I use my RZR for hunting and shooting also. And did you know deer can run 45 mph?

#57 Re: The X Spot » 2007 RANGER XP » 2008-12-19 19:24:12

A buddy of mine has the same thing. It turned out on his to be the emergency brake. His had worn out and some how managed to wear out a rivet and it was rubbing. We went all over that thing in both axles and all around the rear end. Then I had him raise the bed and drive while I crawled back to listen, I do not recommend this diagnostic procedure for the inexperienced.
So check that first. It may not sound like a brake noise, but it turned out to be.

#58 Re: The X Spot » 2008 generation 1 RZR Battery question » 2008-12-19 18:33:33

I have a 08 RZR gen 1. I want to put a full size battery, Optima 34/78, in it for all the extras and to help in starting in the cold. I bought a full size tray that "will fit" in any RZR. It appears to be too tall. The main wiring harness runs underneath that battery tray. Or should I move it to the storage area next to the battery area? Is the gen 2 or 3 different in that area then the gen 1? Suggestions?
