#31 Re: General Discussion about Yamaha Rhinos » Looking to buy a good 2nd hand Rhino 700 » 2010-07-16 11:54:18

The only difference I can think of was the recall for the wheel spacers for the back tires and the removal of the rear sway bar.
I would think most used 08 Rhinos have had the recall done, some may not have had it done.  But Im sure that most of the 09s came that way from the factory.
Other than that I think they stayed the same.

Nobody knows what is going on for 2011 Rhinos, You can ask around all you want and you will never get the same story.
Last time I was on the Yamaha web site they were still listing the specs from the 09 Rhinos. Go figure.

Even with broken parts, as long as you have all the pieces you should be able to take them to a machine shop and have them made on a CNC machine or water jet table. The things that can be done in a well equiped machine shop today will be better than what was made when this machine was new 20 +/- years ago. Anything made with steel can be fixed.

I started planing for my new 44 X 40 garage two months back and the only thing holding me up is public works, they need to move my power pole to my house. Last week they finaly got the new pole in but didnt move the wires.
So Ill show what I have been up to in the mean time.

My (100 year) old garage was 18 X 10 with a wood floor.

It survived the 300 foot move to its soon to be new home on a concreat pad.
The steel I beams and posts should be here next week and I hope to start digging the hole for frost walls also.

Personaly I think Arctic Cat should stick to snowmachines, I know a few people who have had tons of trouble with the ATVs and I have not heard many good things about the Prowlers, other than the engine size.
Treyx seem nice only been in one a few times but other than a wicked touchy gas pedal they seem like solid machines.
I have pushed my Rhino 700 hard for over two years now, working it like a rented mule. 2000 miles on the original belt and not one break down yet, runs as good as the day i got it and starts the first time even in the winter when its -30. Cab size has never been a problem, I use a Curtis cab in the winter and a few of my larger friends have used it without a problem.

I vote Rhino lol

Same here I got a multi mount for my Rhino, works on the front or back. My winch rides on the front most of the time. lol
Best part about a multi mount winch is that if you get extension cables to your battery so you can chain your winch to another object (tree) incase you need to pull from the side. (rollover). Any auto parts store can order battery cables in any length.

If you keep getting more toys listed at the bottom of you post we will need to talk about you getting your own web site   lol  lol .
You forgot to list the JLG lift you have wink .

I have a few more toys comin in a few weeks Ill update the list when they show up. wink  lol
