I think the guys who have an RZR now are lucky.  The local dealers are telling me it will be August or so until they recieve more, and they will be limited.

If you want a 4 seater, the Rhino is the only way to go.  The cargo area on the RZR is too high for seats, and you'd need to have really short legs to fit back there.

Its going to be great with the 6" over suspension kit.  Mine is going in the shop Monday.  It will have more ground clearance and more travel.

It doesn't drive like a rhino.  I think it will be flipped on slow 4x4ing, or by magazine testers.

I think the range on fuel is going to be an issue.  I need to check my milage, but I think you can only go about 70 miles on a tank.

Well, I've got 120 miles on it, and it kicks butt.

Handling

On fire roads it pushes a little.  I think lowering the air pressure on the fron tires or rear wheel spacers should help this.  If traction is good, it wants to go sraight.  It doesn't feel as narrow as it looks.

Shifting

It takes a while to get used to.  From park to a gear grinds if you don't pay attention.  Whoevever designed the belt drive for the RZR needs to be awarded.  It uses all of the power, and does not feel mushy like a Rhino.

Low speed 4x4ing

It three wheels, and when it rocks over it is scary.  Off camber is not comfortable.  Line selection is critical because of the overall width.

Summary

It kicks A@@

PS

My wheels and tires are on backorder, and I haven't installed the wheel spacers yet.

I think Dragon Fire Racing makes "box" that gets rid of the governor.  My RZR has pleanty of power, and hits the governor.  I bet you could get another 10mph out of it.

Out of the hole, it leaves black stripes on the pavement, so its good there.

I got mine yesterday.  It hauls a@@!  Its way faster than a Rhino.  It goes a little better than 55 than a governor kicks in.  It corners good, the brakes are good, and side by side seating is comfortable with two 6 foot guys that are 200+ lbs.

Now I just need my wheels, they're back ordered.

Mine is on a truck as of 5/19 according to the dealer, I should have it in about two weeks.

I have several friends with this kit.  It's well built.  I think all of the kits, especially the shocks, are expensive.

Rocky Mountian is where I got my wheels and tires.  The factory fixed up one has 26 inch tires.  Lots of Rhino guys are running 26-9-12 on all corners.  Thats my plan so one spare tire will work anywhere.

Hey Sandman, how does it ride?

Mine got pushed back.  The new ship date is May 23rd.  I bought ITP wheels and 26x9x12 Bighorn radials for it.  I can't wait to ride this thing.

Thanks for the welcome.  Dirt Wheels mag had a review this month.  They had a few nit picks on side panels being vulnerable, and the buckles for the side nets are cheesy.  It still sounds like the hot setup.

Does anyone know if the RZR has the same bolt pattern as the Ranger XP?

I have been told by my dealer that the first RZR will be shipped to him on 5-07-07.  All three dealers in my area say they are getting two in May, then they will be able to order more that will not come until around August.  I figure it will take about two weeks to ship from back east, so I hope to have mine by the end of May.
