I would run the 28's!!!!!

since you bought them from me haha

but no really it will give you extra ground clerance and make it alot better.  it wont make it to tippy.  I got pretty nuts with thoose on down in moab with the spacers I also sold you.  you wont make it tippy  and as stated above i would bump the preload up to max!!

Medium to no brains trail ideas for next weekend
meet at trail heads 9:00 am and try to be in the trail by 9:30

friday
Poision spider Mesa or golden spike,  doesnt matter as long as we get the crack smile  I prefer the ride from the golden spike to the crack but poision spider is fun right from the start.  lets pick one of these two and go for it

saturday
Behind the rocks
I have never riden this trail but hey i have a map and jared is a eagle scout.  this trail isnt as hard as pritchett but has over 8 hard obstacles on it.  also goes by picture arch and for is suppose to be a pretty ride.  it also has a trail for picture arch that we take as a bypass on the way back if we need to make up time or tow my rzr out.

sunday
maybe a short ride like moab rim or something but hey lets be honest I havent made it to day 3 yet with my machine

thats just a idea

we can split the group and do different trails as well.  hells revenge and fins and things are fun as are others.

I dont think we can do helldorado and some of the other stuff in BFE

pritchet is hard enough and i have yet to try it.

remember it is november and will be 30 degrees at night.  I think we should let the sun warm things up a little before we hit the rocks.

I am up for rock racing i mean crawling.  I have riden at white wash dunes before and would rather run the harder stuff in moab.

I am down for either poision spider or golden spike friday.  golden spike has a larger parking lot but we can problay all fit at the spider as well.  but i have a contract with jared that i will not ride unless it is 50 degrees  so i wont be able to leave at 8 am  lol

why 8 am???

why not 9 or 10??

hey chris did you run all of pritchett??  we have had a few friends try it but i think they always end up using winches.

I dont think i will be able to hang with the cool guys i only have a normal rzr not a s sad

#25 Re: The X Spot » Rzr one year later, wish i still had a yamaha :( » 2008-10-10 16:28:31

i know i wouldnt buy another rzr  and i am soured bad enough on polaris quality that i would skip the ranger as well even though i like the looks of the new ones

I think the rhino is problay the best quality product out there,  that being said there are still a few things that for me are a draw back.   the front approach angle and frame is bad for whoops and it turns into a shovel really easy,  the other thing is they are down on power.

the teryx is a really good machine and built pretty tough  i like the power it makes and it is one of the few that responds to engine mods  and you dont have to get to crazy.  the v-twin is problay the best engine choice,  and for 09 they are efi.  the one downside to a teryx is the factory plastic around the footwells.   they have the plastic out to wide and any type od rock crawling it scapes it up way to easy.  good for mud protection but bad on trails.

ok let me start by saying i am not a brand biased person and i have own polaris sleds and loved them but i have not had the best of luck with the rzr

first weekend out my brother took it for a ride and ran it down some tight trails,  showing just how crappy the stock plastic is.  the machine has had perminant scratch's ever since and looks way rough.

the next few months where ok but hey it was winter and i wasnt driving it smile

since last year i have had the machine out less then 10 times i think and 70% of the time it has come home broken.  gone through 3 rear axles.

the 4wd now is like a women and works only when it chooses to.  the dealer says its fine and they cant see anything wrong.

the factory skid plate is the biggest joke.  my transfer case  started leaking from the seam and i decided to seal it instead of removing the entire case.  there is no protection at all for anything under this machine,  your engine and trannys can be damaged really easy and frame members bend easy as well.

overall i am not impressed at all with the quality of the rzr  and I hate how crappy some things are done in comparison to other machines.  I am only 50hrs on this machine and want to have it around long enough to pay for it and enjoy it,  but so far i have no confidence in it.  my rhino had way more use and it never had one issue.  sure it was a little slower and through sand in your face but I think it left just as big a smile on my face out having fun in it.

THANKS CHRIS and KYLE!!!! and all your support crew!!!

that trip was awesome!  i think we need to fire our guides though,  rolled three machine and broke three axles

and the carnage on hells revenge was even worse!!!

just glad my machine isnt in the carnage video lol

however i am still broken and cant get parts for this weekend    ever done a tug of war with a tractor and a ferrari    the ferrari will put on a good show but its not built for that.

thanks to everybody in our group for a killer weekend!!!

I think if we ever guide a trail again we need a additional waiver signed.  there is a 50% chance of either body damage or parts breaking big_smile

but seriously we should add some TRAILERED rides for next year and keep the groups small.

and UTVdealer I so want to ride in one of thoose x-18s  in the  dunes wink

and jared good job on the videos!

#29 Re: For Sale & Want Ads » rhino tires and wheels » 2008-05-08 05:19:00

RMD

there is one minor ding in one rim but none of them are bent in any way.

the tires have only been ran in the sand and have very little wear.  the rears where never a aggressive tread to start with.  thats why they work good at the dunes, light weight
