No argument here ranger would be better for alot of people (unless they are smaller kids 90-120lbs or so and you add the safty equipment to protect them) Rhinos seem to be more maneuverable in tight spots.
BUT this topic can be explaned alot easier..........
Side x sides are like women. you have to pick your poison.
LET ME BREAK IT DOWN
You either like them slim not using alot of bed space and easy to fit into tight places.

Or maybe you like them with a little more room in the trunk, limited to wider doorways and take more fuel to keep running.

It realy depends on who you are, what you like, what you need and what your comfortable with. ![]()
HOPE THIS HELPS IN YOUR CHOICE ![]()

I was reading several posts about voltage regulators getting hot from being mounted under the seat. they make a relocation kit to move it out to the radiator, but I bet that 11 foot long wiring harness isn't cheap.
I found this that says the wire harness was under $50 when it first came out but couldnt find anything new on it. The mount for the regulator was under $3.

Is anyone a member on other forums like Rhinoforums.com or anyplace where this link could be reposted.

The more it gets reposted the more its going to get replyed to and may help save the reputation of a great machine from erisponsable people trying to tear it down and the entire sport as well.
Even if your not a big fan of the Rhino it will only help the whole sport because if the Rhino goes down which machine will be next on the choping block?
I dont know much about the RZR but the voltage regulator may be worth checking as well. I had one go to hell in my snowmachine and it would run fine for a few miles but then when you asked for lots of power it would act up. A bad regulator can cause your electrical system to go all crazzy after it gets hot or under alot of load.
Just a though  this is something I found about the regulator.

Welcome to the forum SSgt Petchell - and thank you for your service :!:
I second that
Some reading if anyone is interested.
Here is a box of tissue so you can wipe off your ego.
Im sure there is someone who could get a side x side up or down "Gatekeeper" its not about the machine its the driver. The bigger the machine and the bigger the tires the easier it is. I use to own a 87 YJ Jeep with 38 inch tires and 10 inches of total lift, lockers front and back military axels and all that good crap like long travel shocks, rotator spring shakels and low range gearing so I know what Jeeps are like, how much they cost to fix, how many tools, jacks and spare parts and a welder you need to carry for one day of off roading and what a jeep can do. Rock crawling with a jeep is not that big of a deal, dont get me wrong its fun and challenging, but you only have rocks to go over and it is almost always a hard surface where someone else has already been, (been there done that, got old) Go find your self a nice skidder trail (logging trail) on the side of a mountain with mud, stumps, skidder rutts, rocks and brush in your way. Im not talking a house lot that was just cut off Im talking 100-200 acres of clear cut. Then let me know how your jeep does. But dont come here and say that jeeps are 99% more extreme than side x sides just because thats what you own, For one thing your in the wrong forum to be dissing side x sides, second If you dont have a side x side then you most likely dont know what they can and cant do and remember you came here asking questions. So show some respect.
It also sounds like you leave your family behind as you have fun, thats so lame I dont even know what to say. :?
YES SLIPPERY WEASEL AND IRON DONKEY ARE TRAILS AND IF YOU WERE FROM THIS AREA YOU WOULD KNOW THAT NO JEEP (BUGGIE-PIPE CAR) HAS EVER! SUCCESSFULLY MADE IT FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER.
I wash my hands of this thread. ![]()
I know for a fact that I have yet to see anything with the wheelbase or ground clearance to do gatekeeper in calico, or sledge or jack hammer in johnson valley or even johnbull in big bear.
What about the slippery weasel trail :?: or the iron donkey :?:
:? :?:
Oh............. thats easy, girls, guns then humor but I find if you mix them in just the right amount they blend quite well.

WAIT......... :? I have gotten WAY off the subject of this thread havent I.
But that was a good video on youtube thoe. ![]()
...for their pot growing operations now.
#1 accessory - a pistol for the glove box
LMFAO Treehuggers. What a joke. I can agree with the, You carry trash in, you carry it out. but how on earth can anyone respect people who shit in paper bags and carry it back home just because digging a hole in the woods is bad. :?
I like the Cheytec 408 rifle my self,
sure its hard to draw up fast and it doesnt fit in the glove box well but with a 2 mile range thoes treehuggers better have some damn good running sandles.

Or even better, the perfect passenger. ![]()
