Welcome Donnie and Tyler! So if I understand correctly you now have 2 RZR S's 8) Plan on attending the "Rally on the Rocks"
http://www.rallyontherocks.com
would love to meet your team
.
I am ready to ride
Armature Plate installed, seemes to work perfect. Power Steering and Windshield Stiffener installed and Parking Brake moved/modified (Thanks Jared).
I believe Bob is is going to tear his down (trans mainly) and try and find odd vibration that showed up on this ride ![]()
Maybe they will have a stouter front diff we can retrofit in to the RZR ![]()
I have stock armature plate coming today. I have found 1 other company offering one but could not find out if it is better than stock
http://www.roxatv.com/Armature-Plate.html
From what I have read, most recommend that plate be replaced any time front diff is opened up. Maybe Ruthless Motorsports can do some research on above or onther source for better Armature Plate
Lanse, we went to 5 mile pass (Utah) and Bob took us up the Constrictor trail (I think that is the name), probably the toughest area at 5 mile. Ryan had to "belly up" to a few obstacles, but the 4 did great (and helped me over that last few hundred yards). I am dying to get back out - with all the new snow it is bound to be a challenge wherever we go. You interested Lanse? Jared?
Got my Power Steering installed ( Thanks Ruthless), just waiting on the Armature plate to test the steering. Need to relocatate the cam-lock parking brake and I am good to go.
So I went on a "Snow Ride" with Fasttrax and Peverly and lost front diff. after a few technical climbs

Snow adds a few degrees of difficulty

Has to winch over this one
Ryan's RZR 4 helped me over the last few hundred yards with only 2 wheel drive
Dash showed diff engaged, but nothing. No noise either. Expected an electrical problem with the coil/magnet. After opening up the diff I found the problem - the armature plate was in about 7 pcs. I replaced the Sprague Carrier last Spring (thanks Ruthless Motorsports) and it is perfect - found the next weak link. Should have a new armature in tomarrow.
I agree, maybe linkage problem - try adjusting.
Gonna go after the CanAm?
Why
Maybe the power, but nothing else... IMO the RZR is still the benchmark. It will be interesting to see if they raise the bar (again). We will find out 1/1/11 ![]()
Looks like Steve and I are in if the weather holds. So, what is the plan?
Last minute decision for me... you still want to go?
I am game - if I can convince my wife to let me go alone
She has comittements. Will let you know. Jared you going- might be a chance to find the "Maze" (if St. George is the destination).
The Rhino is a good mix of all - proven machine.
Anybody up for another trip through Poison Spider? Haven't fired the Beretta in a few weeks
Love em so far ![]()
What a great arrangement. I look foward to the Rally(s) ![]()
28x10x14 - new size - Ruthless only sells the latest ![]()
