The Utah 4wheel Drive Association is sponsoring a clean up with the BLM. This is a great opportunity to show the BLM we care. Here is the info:
All,
I spent Sunday at Little Sahara Sand Dunes with the BLM and they are very eager to work with us on this project and yearly projects.
For this year they need us to dismantle a fence......thats right, take down a fence. This requires the U4WDA members and our Trucks and or Jeeps and winches would be good also. If you are familiar with the area we will be removing wooden fence lines and the cross members from on top of the sand and also buried / semi buried fence line from behind the Jericho picnic / camping loop. They will reserve for us this entire loop and our entrance fee is of course waived. This fence line will be a challenge but it will be a new, FUN challenge because we will be in a sand shifting environment and there is quite a bit of fence line to remove.
Date: March 17 St. Pattys day
Place: Little Sahara Sand Dunes
Time: 9:00 until we are complete. (So we need ALOT of people.)
Fees: Waived for us volunteers for the day, I will need to give BLM a list of participants prior to this day.
Lunch: I am in talks with having BLM providing the main dish. (Or do we have a caterer we want to use ?)
More Fun: After the job is done we can play in the sand.
Do we know the route yet? That's gangster territory, no worse than I guess Subaru territory last year.
All the info is on the website...You can print out the Parade route, there is misc info, etc...Please check it out www.takebackutah.org
I think this is the first time we have received any press "before" the event (without paying for it of course)

Steve Brown did an interview with us for KFAN Radio that was suppose to air tonight but I think it will be Sunday now...but not real sure yet
Also we will be on channel 4 tomorrow morning on the Good Morning Utah show around 6 or 7am. As of now they will be interviewing Mike Swenson and ???
And, not sure if any of you know about the drama with the Governor not showing up this year, well he is now. The "People" have spoken.
Gotta have those flags...See you all there
Who woke him up? Where you been Jared? Called and called, no reply.
He will be at the Rally/Parade...We can talk to him there 8)
wow, where have you been. I posted this a week ago
8) Sweet
You'll think "sweet" when I get you in your jeep up there!!!
Ok, double SWEET then 8)
We are finishing up on the Parade route. The plan was to head east on north temple and go over the new overpass but the city won't let us even though it will be open. They say there is still construction going on so we have to find a new route which is good for those of you who like riding around on city streets. I think the best route will be from the Capital back to the Fair Park. There will be a lot of turns and down hill streets 8)
So you all. We are hoping to have a HUGE Side By Side Turn Out.
Please get the word out to everyone you can...
Thanks
.
8) Sweet

HELP.....Sanpete County Commisioners are meeting this week to decide whether of not to grant permission to a private land owner to gate and control the county road at the bottom of Axe Handle Canyon which would put an end to access of the Hanging Tree Trail. The Gate would split the main County road and the upper Class D roads.
The Commisioners are concidering this action due to some vandalism to a few of the farmers pieces of equiptment, they dont nessarily see any reason to keep this canyon public....If you have ever enjoyed this trail, or these canyons now is the time to let them know....please email the commisioners and let them know how much you have enjoyed this trail. show them reason to keep it public. We have cleaned up these canyons and brought money into the county by buying fuel, food, hotel rooms. These canyons used to be private land fills and now they are cleaned up and Im going to meet with one of the commisioners and show them pictures of our club filling up roll off dumpsters and what not. Please email these commisioners and be respectful they are trying to do what is best for Sanpete County.
Thank You, James Millett
