No metal shavings in the oil when I changed the Transmission fluid. The shifting arm isn't loose, but I will try your recommendation of pulling the cable off and checking it from there. Thanks for your suggestions.

Newbie here again. I've got another one for you! 08 Ranger Crew 700. When I shift into High gear, and apply gas, it grinds in the transmission and I go nowhere.! However, if I real gently apply gas and feather the pedal, it will engage and not grind. None of the other gear positions give me this problem. I've adjusted the linkage to no avail and checked/replaced the transmission fluid level. Any ideas? Thanks again.

Hey all, new member here and I've got one for you! I have an 08 Ranger Crew with the 700 EFI. I'm having idle problems with it. I've adjusted the TPS a few times, but it's still idling rough and doesn't want to start up with out holding the gas pedal down a little. How do you properly adjust the TPS and Idle adjustment? It's currently idling (after warming up) around 830 RPM's. I've checked and changed the plugs several times already and they were black & wet if that makes sense. Any ideas will help tremendously. thanks in advanced.
