So when I bought my teryx last Jabuary it was too tall to fit in my toyhauler. So new roll cage right? I was broke and had to make due with what I had. That was stock roll cage feet cut off and 1.5" .095 tube I had in my garage allready. It turned out ok

So now work has picked up and with the holiday weekend I had some time and money. This is the rear bumper section that will tie into the cage

The rest are of what I have finished so far today and a little yesterday.

As you can see I still have a ways to go but its staring to look like a roll cage. It will have full doors and window nets also.

Lookin good.
I think there is more satisfaction in building something your self. I love to dream something up and build it and the best things are the ones that have no plans and you build as you go.

Nice work! Like the way you tied in the rear bumper, should take a beating (not that you should test it Razz ). I am curious about how you brace the roof... pics? Loving the progress pics, keep em comming Cool

Here is another one. Doors are finished but I didnt snap a pic before I took them back off. Roof is cut but still needs tabs welded on to bolt it down. Moved the mirrors because it was hard to see with the window nets up. So all thats left is one more window net mount. Tabs for the roof some small welding in hard to reach areas. And spare tire mounts.

I didn't even get to race. My friend was driving for the pre run so I could mark the GPS and just past mile 10 we came over a double roller at what would be safe to call "speed" and the rear caught the second roller and put us into a front flip. We hit on the driver A piller first and then it all went fuzzy but from the distance from the rollers and where we ended up I would guess we rolled 3 times. We ended up on the passenger side. We both walked away with very minor injury's. I had a very small cut on my hand from not wearing gloves since I was supposed to be taking notes. The the driver Andrew had some harness burn on his neck I don't think his belt was as tight as it should have been.

It was a very disappointing way to start the weekend after all the time and money I had invested into racing this race. But like I was told 100 times at least one one was hurt.
