Oops, I knew I forgot something - photos :( I just connected a flexible hose (heat resistant - to 250+ degrees - found it locally at EVCO) to my RAIS power tube (angled back). Routed behind and under the fan housing and then to the front in driveline tunnel and up above the radiator. Air box is the same, hose is 2 5/8" inside diameter which is 3/8" larger that the RAIS. It was a tight fit! Had to flatten the hose a little comming off the engine and under the fan housing but the engine seems to run the same - will know more Sat. I did have to trim some of the tunnel bracing also. I have only had it running in my shop but no more intake noise! I was tired of the sucking sound under throttle ending my conversations with Jana or drowing out the stereo :? I will post photos and more detailed info later.

User: 304

WHAAAT? Sometimes engine noise is a good thing in a bad conversation as....don't you dare do that!

User: 5

I cant wait to see and hear your new project Brad. Sounds like you did a great job on it. :D

User: 75

Actually Jana is game for just about any obstacle  ...and she doesn't scream much  She does say "ouch" (for the Rhino) though  Looks like a storm moving in tomarrow afternoon. Supposed to be warm in the morning - windy - storm will cool things down quickly. Everyone still going? I plan on getting an early start and then see how the afternoon develops.

User: 919

Ill be there with the RZR. The Teryx is still under the knife or should i say cutoff wheel :D . Should be a good time!

User: 304

I'm loaded except for the family. Try to get out there by 10-11 in the morning....thats early for me for a weekend day.

User: 304

i'm now unloading... I watched the weather this morning and 61 mph in Eureka doesn't sound good unless you haven't brushed your teeth or have bad skin complexions.

User: 75

Got there early - OK riding for the 1st couple hrs. Left about 2pm - my complexion looks much better now :D Not sure about my teeth... I'm too busy spitting sand :?

User: 304

Was I the only one to ditch Brad? I hope not. I was able to get in my trailer and dream about the upcoming season.Anyway I am looking at this next weekend pending on the weather again. Kids was bummed about not going yesterday.

User: 455

It wasnt that bad... ok...it was pretty bad. We still had a good time though. A bad day at the dunes is still a better than a good day at work. :) Dave was getting CRAZY air in the RZR!

User: 304

So how did the air intake work Brad? ready to start selling the kit?

User: 75

[quote:fa2086dbb9="Rockstar Junkie"]A bad day at the dunes is still a better than a good day at work. :) Good Point - it was a great day! Fair weather Ryan was the only one to "ditch" (missed you Ryan :( )The air intake seems to be working great - believe it or not I had to richen the mixture, so I am getting more air than before! I don't get it - I had to flatten the hose a little in a few places and it is still connected to the RAIS?? I was worried about getting less air... It is much quieter in the cab - although it was hard to tell with the wind (and sand) whistling by my head  8) :D My speakers developed a short, so after all that I didn't listen to any tunes :(

Ruth and I had a great time! I know some of our day was on the drag bikes which was a blast because it had been awhile but the many sidexside rides we went on were awesome! Some killer jumping with Dave and the RZR. Missed riding with you Brad and Magnum. Ryan you wimp!!! j/k I really enjoyed dinner with all 9 of us after too. Great times!!!

User: 262

I'm glad I left the rail home. My Raptor is a mess after hitting the storm on the way home. We had 2 great rides, ate some sand and left. I looked for you guys as we were leaving to say goodbye but you all were hiding...lolHopefully the next outing will be better.Dave, what do you think of the new shocks. Ruth was liking the huge "front nose dive air" you were getting...lol

User: 304

dinner... I missed food? or are you talking about the sand whipped up with a little sage. Now I do feel sorry I didn't make the little sahara sand storm

User: 128

yes it was windy, we actually got blown around on a few jumps  had a absoloute blast. had fun hanging with the friends once again. yes the new shocks are pretty good. i have been told i was going bigger now with them, they jumped really well, the wind was changing the jumps so fast out there, i had a line dialed in and then took ruth out for a spin and either the dune changed or i lost the line but man we did get a nice nose dive jump in. I tried another jump later and just about about went over frontwards from the kick. it was more driver error and line selection.cant wait for the rest of the season :D
