Topic: The MAZE Build Up
I am making a few adjustments on the good 'ol RZR for this upcoming trip at the end of the month. I have a few things in store and will share them with you along the way. I dont have much time for my own machines as I am always working on everyone elses so hopefully everything gets done in time. Stay tuned....
With all of the different riding I do I have always wanted a winch. Ya never know when ya need to flip yourself back off your lid. Or a buddies at that. :D I could have used one many, many times in the past from rollovers to mud.I chose to go with a WARN 3000MT. It is loaded with 50ft of synthetic rope and is fully sealed to keep out the elements. The MT's also come with a tree trunk protector and D shackle that can be used for many things.
Sweet! I'll be following the build for sure. Are you putting it in the factory spot or something custom?
It will be mounted in the factory spot. All of the other placements I wanted to put it interfered with other plans. I will be mounting the rocker somewhere different than the dash or stearing column.
Alot of people say that winches should be mounted as high on the machine as you can get them so they stay out of the mud and water. I would have to disagree. My Warn 3000 is in the stock location on a removeable mount system (it almost never gets taken off). It has been sunk in water drove into banks, buried in mud and has been used to push over many small trees, I have pulled pick-ups and farm machinery with it and most days you wouldnt even know that a winch was on the front if it wasnt for the hook sticking out of the clump of grass and mud hanging off the front and that thing still works like a champ and Im still on my first cable.Warn is the way to go.
You are right on the money Titan. :D I am not one bit worried about water, snow, mud, gunk, crap, whatever with running a WARN winch. I have never had problems with them. Thanks for your review on how they have been for you. :D
I had to run 3 horses to the vet today so I am a bit behind. Here are a few updates.
HMMMMMM.... What is that I see? :D
I didn't see your name winning the lotto! It looks like long trvel, new winch, exhaust, is that a turbo and intake that ups dropped off too?
Ron woods?

Ron woods? It is a Ruthless- modified- Ron Woods exhaust. Good guess there Fasttrax. :D
Hmmmmm.... What to do next?
Looking good. Can't wait to see it in action.
Some progress...Now the fun begins!
I went with the super atv RZR to RZR S conversion kit. This kit allows you to use your stock shocks and gives you the ability to upgrade to aftermarket shocks if you feel that you need to or when money becomes available. I chose to run my stock shocks and plan to do so untill the UTV Rally is over in April and then when I head back down to The Rally on the Rocks in May I will have some aftermarket shocks on for that event. I am doing it this way for testing purposes.I am very happy with this kit so far. I do not have much ride time on it so at this point my feedback is only for the install and the quality of the kit. I originally thought that this kit was a "mirror" of the RZR S kit. However after the install is complete I learned much more about the kit. For one it is quite a bit stronger than the stock RZR S kit. The install went smooth and I had no hangups with any part of the kit. The instructions can be followed by anyone and include color pictures to help you out if you need it. My only complaint at this point is that you re-use quite a bit of your old a-arm components. It just adds a fair amount of time onto the install. Pictures are uploading...
A few for starters of the long travel finished up.
This is the front shock relocator bracket. If you mount your stock shock into the inner of the two holes it gives you a stock ride height. If you move it to the outside hole you get a 2 1/2" lift as a result.
Same idea on the rear.
Front arms and axle.Size compaired to stock. We have a RZR S coming into the shop Monday for some work and I will take some pictures of the stock "S" arms so you can see the difference in them as well.
Looks great. BTW, great lift too.
Lookin good!
Thanks a lot guys I am really happy with how the project is going so far. :D Oh and Brad, that lift is amazing! It makes my life a lot easier! :D
Here are some pictures of our new rattle stop installed. The best money ever spent on my RZR. :D I hated that rattle!!!This is a MUST have for any RZR,RZR S, RZR4 owner!
Great cheap addition to the RZR. Simple, yet very effective. I agree totally with Jared, its a must have.
I saw this and thought it would go along with the project....
Very cool! I might have to replace mine soon, is there more styles?
Very nice! looking good!

I like it!!! How much???For the complete kit- Meaning the machine specific adaptor and for the stearing wheel, any color, any style, your looking at $95.00. :D
Wow, thats reasonable..Are they better (meaning stronger) than the stock ones.
Wow, thats reasonable..Are they better (meaning stronger) than the stock ones.Hmmmm. Im not sure how to answer that yet since I have only put it on and been arround the parking lot. It seems really strong but we will see how it does after the trip next week. It has some really cool "hand positions" on it. I do know that! :D
Any guesses on whats in the boxes????

Titan - you ship your butt here and we will find you a seat :P
I wonder if the us postal service flat rate boxes would work. Only $4.95 ships anywhere in the US  I would love to get out there someday but it isnt going to happen for a while.I am however going to build my own dirt track in my field this summer. A 4 acre field all to my self.:P
Box #1Some info on the seat:TWISTED STITCH RZR BENCH SEATThe RZR Front Bench features a bolt-in design that allows it to be mounted directly to the factory seat bases in minutes without the need for an additional mount. The RZR Bench provides suspension seat comfort and containment while allowing for a small third passenger. Designed to utilize aftermarket safety harnesses, the RZR Bench fits between the factory side bars and can be used with most aftermarket doors. The RZR Bench comes with two fixed headrests and lap belt slots for three occupants.

Hmm...when are you going to add the Rainbow Sticker, Kryptonite? Only kidding. Shi*!, take a chill pill. Don't take it personal unless it's true.In actuality, it looks great. I'm sure it looks even better in person. Looking forward to seeing/riding with everyone on Friday.

The seat in the RZR:Perfect fit. Very simple to install. :D
I had to see the RZR flex a bit so I used the lift! Only one wheel is off the ground the rest are planted. Should work well. Time will tell.
Kryptonite, I remember a time, long long ago, (don't fall asleep) when you were asked to get some information regarding the leg minders like those you have on your RZR? Okay, I'll buy that you've been busy...I'm good with that. I took the POS restraint nets off and think those leg-minders would be useful. How about providing some options and cooresponding $$. :)

I really like these leg minders btw. :D A few pix of the different styles.Hope this helps. :D
One of my complaints is the twisting of the rear part of the frame on a rzr. To help with the twisting and flexing I decided to install a Rear Frame Support. This is made of 6061 Billet Alum, polished to a mirror finish, then chrome dipped for an added shine and protection. It comes with all the hardware needed to install. No holes to drill either.Ya cant see it to much with the licence plate in the way but it looks good and should do its job very well.
coming together nicely! That seat is pimp!
BOX #2
Just like mine :D Great fit - great buy (Thanks Ruthless Motorsports)!
hmmmm
This truely is a great skid plate system for the RZR and RZR S. I will let some pictures do the talking for a moment. :D As you can see the area covered by this new skid system is quite a bit larger than the stock skid plate. It also includes the front and rear diff protection. If you could only see how my gas tank had moved approx 3 inches from rock damage you would understand the importance of an upgraded skid plate system. This is a top of the line system at a much cheaper price than the others out there.
I decided to keep running my HOLZ Racing side skids along with my new Quiet Glide Skid System with the type of riding that I do and to help protect the carbon plastics when Im running the side of my machine down a big rock wall or something. I had very little trouble incorporating the two together. The only thing I did (which was more of a cosmetic thing for me) was cut a small portion of the Quiet Glide Skid Plate off. After cutting that small portion off I can see what makes these UHMW skids last and wear like they do. It was NOT easy!
Here are some pix of the Skid Plate System installed:FRONTMIDDLEREAR
man jared that thing is looking sick!
man jared that thing is looking sick!Hey stranger!!!! Thank You! I am really happy with how it is coming together. :D You need to come out this year and ride with us sometime!I hope all is well out in your neck of the woods. :D

For those that did not get to experience the latest phase in this RZR build up at the UTV Rally this picture should give you a good clue. More info and pix to come.
Just added a few more things to my RZR. I will post up some pix later tonight. I am looking forward to "finding" and running the MAZE this fall. Cant wait!
We all know what a pain it is to check the oil on a RZR and with my bench seat I found myself not wanting to check it at all. I put a dipstick relocate kit on it. Moves it to the rear passenger wheel well, Makes it a lot better. :D Location before the install:You can see that the stock piece and the new piece are the same with the exception of where the support bracket is welded. New is on the left.Ater 5 min the old one was out and the new one was in. 2 bolts, thats it. Real simple install.
When I installed the dip stick relocate kit I noticed that I had a really deep gash on my fuel tank so I thought it would be a great time to install a new product from UTV TECH. It serves its purpose very well and was a sinch to install. It takes approx 7 or 8 min to install. It looks good too!We just sold out of these but we have an order on the way.
This is hands down my favorite RZR out there...next to Lynn's... 8) Nice work Jared. I didn't realize that the air suspension was that recent of an addition to your machine. When I can finally afford to get an RZR, it will be running one.
that thing is so nice i wouldnt even ride it ! i love that carbon fiber look i was thinkin about the white my self with the darker hood and sides ! i have the nice tusk skids. i simply love them try this ! i ride in the woods so i come to down trees a lot i just run right thru the stuff and it slides on the trees and just goes right thru the bad stuff like A LAP FULL OF CATFISH !
